I want to tell you all about the wild night we had Friday. Some of you might have heard about the movie Twilight, all the Teeny girls are crazy over it and even alot of "older" women! Well, Friday was teh DVD release.
As I mentioned before I work for a major retailer and we were suppose to go all out for this thing. It was suppose to be a big release. Well, I asked my store manager about it and he said we weren't doing anything special because we've done stuff like that in the past and they were big flops. Since my wife is big into Twilight and she works there as well, I had her talk to him. Still, nothing.
So, Friday night I went went to work at 10 and there was little girls (teens) everywhere. I took all of the board games, posters and books I could find and placed them where the movies were going to be.
My manager was still there so as we were getting the TV in place (the one that was suppose to be there a day earlier) I told him to walk up by apparel where the movie was to be released. There was 50 people in line! We came over the walkie and told the overnight assitants that it looked like Twlight was going to be big and to prepare for it.. ( alittle late)
By the time midnight came, there was over 150 people (mostly girls/women) in line. In an hour we made over $5000.00 in mostly Twilight stuff. Now our store is small, makes less than 50 million a year, so for us that is big.
Anyway, it was exciting and I thought I'd share it!

That's really cool, man! About the large amount of sales that is, I imagine it could have gotten pretty hectic with so many people.
I actually just watched that movie for the first time Sunday. I actually liked it okay. |

It's a fad. Look at all the Batmania's.. shoot, almost every theater was sold out for The Dark Knight so it's close to the same thing.

Here's how I look at it, I respact girls who are into Edward Cullen waaaaaaaaay more than girls who are into the Jonas Bros.
