BURGESS MEREDITH SHRINE
I'm a IMMENSELY HUGE FAN of Burgess Meredith. I totally died and went to heaven when I watched the old Batman TV series for the first time. I loved him as The Penguin. So wonderfully brilliant!!! So cute too. He made me giggle and laugh when ever I watched an episode. Totally rocked my world!!
I own Batman The Movie (1966) on DVD. I was watching it one day and I just about fell out of my seat laughing because of Penguin. Oh how I love the way he laughs. Too funny!!
But anyway...I loved him dearly. And I will always love him!! Especially him as The Penguin.
......
Today is a winding road that's taking me to places that I didn't want to go
Whoa (whoa, whoa, whoa)
Today in the blink of an eye I'm holding on to something and I do not know why
I tried
I tried to read between the lines
I tried to look in your eyes
I want a simple explanation
For what I'm feeling inside
I gotta find a way out
Maybe there's a way out
Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you're unlike any other?
You'll always be my thunder, and I said
Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors
I don't wanna ever love another
You'll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
And bring on the thunder
Today is a winding road
Tell me where to start and tell me something I don't know
Whoa (whoa, whoa, whoa)
Today I'm on my own
I can't move a muscle and I can't pick up the phone
I don't know (I don't know, I don't know, I don't know)
And now I'm itching for the tall grass
And longing for the breeze
I need to step outside
Just to see if I can breathe
I gotta find a way out
Maybe theres a way out
Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you're unlike any other?
You'll always be my thunder, and I said
Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors
I don't wanna ever love another
You'll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
Yeah I'm walking on a tightrope
I'm wrapped up in vines
I think we'll make it out
But you just gotta give me time
Strike me down with lightning
Let me feel you in my veins
I wanna let you know how much I feel your pain
Today is a winding road that's taking me to places that I didn't want to go
Whoa
Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you're unlike any other?
You'll always be my thunder, and I said
Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors
I don't wanna ever love another
You'll always be my thunder
And I said
Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know you're unlike any other?
You'll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
Oh baby bring on the pain
And listen to the thunder

I love him so much. And I love him as the Penguin. I wish I could find the old series on DVD or something. I've watched some episodes on Youtube but it's not that same really.

Story Line Idea I Got Inspired To Write:
...Takes place a year after Barbara Gordon's accident in which Barbara had been shot by the Joker and is now a wheel chair...
Dick and Bruce wonder if they can find another to replace her as Bat-Girl. That night, at one of Bruce's charity events, Bruce meets a young woman, Erin Knightly, who has red hair and looks the part for Bat-Girl. Barbara is all for it, while Dick doesn't know if Bruce should trust Erin or not.
However, later that night, Bruce decides to approach Erin as Batman and ask for her help. Erin is flattered that the Dark Knight has asked for her help. Dick and Barbara check Erin's back ground and find that her back ground is clean and that she was made Gotham's Most Eligible Bachelorette and one of Gotham's hottest Women.
During Erin's vigorous training as Bat-Girl, Bruce starts falling in love with her, though...he knows it would be unwise to reveal his identity to her. While on patrol one night, the museum gets broken into. Batman, Robin and Erin (disguised as Bat-Girl) go in to find the Penguin had broken into the museum.
A fight ensues but Erin just stands there and does nothing. Eventually, the Penguin escapes. Dick and Bruce agree that she wasn't ready for something like that. The next night, Erin decides to go to the Iceberg Lounge, where she gains the attention of Oswald Cobblepot (The Penguin).
Erin begins losing focus on her training but doesn't say anything to Batman (Bruce). Not knowing he is the same person, Erin later asks for Bruce's advice about love. Bruce of course thinks she's talking about him and gives her the advice. Erin doesn't show up for a couple of sessions for her training after that.
Another charity event is held at the Museum the following Friday night and everyone gets the surprise when Erin shows up on Oswald's arm. Bruce is dumbfounded, in which Jim Gordon points out that morning's paper's head line, handing Bruce a copy of the paper. When Bruce gets home later, he finds the Bat-Girl costume and a note Erin had left.
Batman confronts Erin and asks her why she is giving up and doing what she is doing. Erin explains that she is not right for the whole "super hero thing" and that she took advice from a friend of hers and that she should do something that makes her happy. Batman goes into a small rant about Oswald being a criminal, in which Erin sticks up for Ozzy and then walks away, ending the conversation.
...A Month Later....
Ra's Al Ghoul returns to Gotham. Batman goes to the Lounge to get the source of information from Penguin about Ra's whereabouts. Batman, uncomfortable about seeing Erin in Penguin's lap, learns that Penguin doesn't know anything about Ra's Al Ghoul's return to Gotham.
The whole thing ends with Ghoul, Crane, Dent and Riddler go into the Lounge about two hours later. They sit down at the same table as Penguin and Erin. Ra's asks if the Bat knows anything. In which Penguin responds that Batman doesn't. In which the conversation turns to the "new guy" running round Gotham killing people on a whim and leaving his victims with big grins on their faces.

I just heard by a review that Batman and Robin: The Boy Wonder is really bad... Is it true? I heard that it was really good. I heard in the review that Frank Miller hates realistic and dark comics of the modern times... I don't think he ever really knew what comics were... If he ever really liked comics, it must have been the 60s for him, not to mention the Superfriends.

I have to agree with the review you read. All-Star Batman and Robin, the Boy Wonder is really not that good. Frank Miller said in an interview when it began that he wanted it to be Robin's story, showing his transformation into Robin, how it affects his life and his youth, showing him grow up, etc. Which sounds pretty cool, except he's turned it into something barely even about Batman and Robin: it's about Batgirl, and Black Canary, and Wonder Woman, and Catwoman...he's turned it into a way to show off how good Jim Lee draws sexy women and seems to have totally forgotten his plot.
With that said...Jim Lee is a fantastic artist, by far my favorite comic artist. I love the art in it, I just wish Jim Lee's talents weren't wasted on Frank Miller.

Hehe. You guys are too funny. I, once again, have no idea what you are talking about. But I will manage. HAHA!
Another Story Arc Idea
...Two years after the Dark Knight...
(It kind of goes along with what Lucius Fox was saying to Bruce in TDK, about the Bat-suite being able to withstand cats)
Selina Kyle is introduced as a Cat-like vigilante, who Bruce can't quite figure out. Of course, Bruce is in a dark place because of losing Rachel, being hunted by the police and of course, not knowing if he should should stay as Batman or hang up the cowl for good.
Erin Knightly is introduced as one of Gotham's museum's precurators, who manages the Bird Exhibits, back from filming a Documentry in the Arctic, she teams up with Edward Nasthon, Gotham's new private investigator, who is trying to figure out who the Dark Knight really is. Of course, this splits Edward's personality in half and he later becomes Edward Nygma.
During an investigation of the return of Ra's Al Ghoul and of course, Jonathan Crane's escape from Arkham, Bruce is also distracted by Selina and decides to ask her out on a date. A new arrival to Gotham, Oswald Cobblepot, attracts Erin's attention and the two quickly become each other's social circle when he shows up at a charity event she is having.
Trouble brews when Crane and Ghoul decide to team up, hoping this will draw out the Dark Knight. Batman and Catwoman team up to take them down. At the same time, Riddler emerges when Edward becomes jealous of the attention Oswald is getting from Erin. Thus, forcing Edward to kidnap Erin and leaving riddles all over the city.
The first part of the movie ends with Crane and Ra's getting taken down and both getting arrested. Before the police can go after Batman, Jim Gordon asks Batman to help them find Erin Knightly and then hands Batman one of the riddles they found at the GCPD.
Man, I have an over active imagination!!

BATMAN:THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD ALERT!
I went on the internet and watched an episode of Brave and the Bold. "Legends of the Dark Mite".
While it was humorous and rather cute in most parts, I had to watch it because of one little part where they showed some of Batman's most greatest villains.
Trivia: When the "Dark Mite" is falling through the sky, anyone notice the clouds in the back ground? HAHA! I did! If you look closely at the clouds, the top of the clouds are Penguins! Hehe.

HAPPY 4th of JULY!!
I can't believe it's summer already...wow...time does sure fly by when one is trying to stay busy and have an obsession. LOL!!
<3's Pengy.
Anyway...unfortunately...I haven't been able to get close enough to get my hands any more comics. I will try to get my hands on some from BFTC and others that have Penguin in them. I have gotten my hands on some money due to baby sitting and such...lucky me.
I'll let you know how that goes. I hope to read the comic soon! I've been hearing good things about BFTC.

I hope everyone didn't miss the Friday night special!! For those of you who may have Direct TV or something that gives you over 500 channels you've never seen before...
Friday Night, July 10, on Channel 305 - ION - Batman Returns was played!!
Despite the fact I was tired from working a long shift for the Children's Museum, where I have been volunteering since February, I was quite happy that the in-competent people who run the television networks finally decided to broad cast BATMAN RETURNS on TV and not on a movie station that I don't get.
It ended my day quite well. I volunteered from 8 in the morning until 1 in the afternoon. I didn't get home until 5 in the afternoon. Did some work on my computer. Ate dinner around 7. And then, I got to relax and watch Danny Devito as the Penguin.
FYI to many of you....I've seen the movie like over 500 times, I own it on DVD.
LOL!!
I hope you guys got to view it!! ^ _^

Your obsession with The Penguin is similar to my girlfriends obsession with Catwoman, so no disrespect there. I think a lot of people would be hesitant to express how much they love a character like Penguin, just because he's so weird, but you aren't, so you've earned my respect. Which probably means...wellm nothing to you. But just letting you know!

YAY!! Batman Returns is on again. Tonight @ 8 pm (Eastern Standard Time). I am wicked excited...now I have something to look forward to. (yeah, my weekends aren't always this fun...haha.) But Penguin makes it all that much better. <3's him sooo much!!
@TheDarkTAysOn - Oh, thank you. LOL. Yeah...I like to express myself a lot. Not very hesitant in that regard. I love expressing MY LOVE for Penguin because all the other villains get expressed WAY too much. So therefore....Pengy needs more spotlight, which I am ALL TOO HAPPY to give him.
