I don't think I told anybody on BYTB other than Erin about my first grade superhero creation... Anyways, his name is "Black-Spy" and I've drawn him since the day I made him up. For the past year or so, I've been adding to the idea of him. I've given him a secret identity, an origin, some more villains besides this one guy "Pinocchio", friends, etc. I've also made the "B" I put on his chest stand for something other than "Black-Spy."

I plan on making a non-profitable YouTube animated movie out of him with the origin this summer but until then, I'll be writing a web comic series with Brandon Nielsen (http://www.brandonnielsen87.deviantart.com) as the artist. His work is great. He is also helping me out with the animation on "The Black-Spy" (animated movie). So, the title of the comic series is simple: "Black-Spy Comics". I am giving you guys a sneak peak of what it will be like by showing you the first issue's script. The car fight scene is a little confusing so you can just imagine it the way you want to :) Btw, I need an opinion from Chris on this because I was thinking of putting a bigger name than "a stranger" below a critic's quote. The comic series will be going on DeviantArt (possibly) and YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/tmmwrites). All feedback helps! I hope you like it!

Black-Spy Comics - Issue One - For Now and Forever

EXT. SAN DIEGO - DAY

1-BRIAN WILSON walks down a street.

BRIAN WILSON (CONT’D)
THE BOARD THINKS THEY CAN STOP MY PROJECT.

2-Cars pass BRIAN WILSON, walking on the narrow sidewalk.

BRIAN WILSON (CONT’D)
I WOULDN’T KNOW THAT IF I DIDN’T ‘SPY.’

3-Cars keep passing, BRIAN keeps walking…

BRIAN WILSON (CONT’D)
NOBODY EVEN KNOWS WHO I AM.

BRIAN WILSON (CONT’D)
BRIAN WILSON WAS KILLED A WHILE AGO. . . TWO YEARS, NOW.

4-Cars keep passing…

BRIAN WILSON (CONT’D)
SINCE I WAS HIRED, THEY THINK THEY CAN KEEP UP WITH MY AVERAGE LIFE AS WELL. . .

5-BRIAN WILSON walks down another street, crossing the corner of the sidewalk at the left.

BRIAN WILSON (CONT’D)
BUT THEY CAN’T. . . BECAUSE IT’S NOT THAT AVERAGE. . . MORE IRONY EVERY COUPLE SECONDS.

6-BRIAN looks over at one car in front of him, racing around the corner where he was about to cross the intersection.

7-BRIAN WILSON looks at the car at his left. The DRIVER sticks his hand out of the window and shoots a car, far away, in front of him.

BRIAN WILSON is startled by the irony of his thinking…

8-BRIAN WILSON stands with his messenger bag. We can see that inside of the messenger bag he carries over his shoulder is the Black-Spy suit.

9-The DRIVER shoots the car in front of him, which is now very close (because he had sped up), almost hitting it’s back bumper.

10-The DRIVER grins, evilly.

BAM!

11-The DRIVER keeps smiling.

12-The gadget on BLACK-SPY’S glove slices through the roof and hit’s the sunglasses which the DRIVER is wearing. The lense shatter. The DRIVER is startled but keeps shooting at the car ahead of him.

13-The DRIVER looks up, through the small tear in the roof of his car. He sees the red line on the mask of the Black-Spy.

14-The DRIVER’S eyes are now wide open. The DRIVER shoots the roof of his car randomly, trying to kill BLACK-SPY on top of the roof.

GANGSTER
NO! NOT YOU!

15-The five sharp weapons of the BLACK-SPY’S wrist gloves slice through the roof and miss the DRIVER, still shooting like hell at the roof.

16-The roof is basically torn away completely. The BLACK-SPY jumps into the passenger’s seat next to the DRIVER.

BLACK-SPY
AFRAID SO.

17-The BLACK-SPY knocks the gun out of the DRIVER’S hand simply as if nothing was every there.

18-The gun falls out of the DRIVER’S window as it keeps shooting at the DRIVER’S door. The BLACK-SPY punches the DRIVER in the face as the gun falls.

19-The gun shoots the DRIVER’S door three times at the DRIVER’S own right leg. The DRIVER falls backwards toward the door.

20-The DRIVER bleeds continuously.

21-Thr BLACK-SPY is shocked as the injured DRIVER slowly falls toward the broken window behind him.

22-The BLACK-SPY looks down, standing over the DRIVER, back against the DRIVER’S clashed open window. The DRIVER’S legs are flowing on the other side of the door as if he is boneless.

23-The BLACK-SPY looks at the road as the car is about to zoom past a red light in a crowded intersection.

24-The BLACK-SPY shoots his sharp blade wrist gadgets at the brakes.

25-Two of the blades since through the brakes below and the other one pops the tire open.

26-The tires begin to spark against the road.

27-The tires burst into flames. BLACK-SPY and the DRIVER are nowhere to be seen.

28-The car crashes inside of the intersection where many cars are driven into the totaled car. The result of the large crash is a huge explosion, killing many others.

29-BLACK-SPY and the DRIVER jump into an alley. BLACK-SPY carries the DRIVER.

30-BLACK-SPY looks back at the explosion.

BLACK-SPY
NO!

Great start Tim, but if I may give some constructive criticism

1)Name 'Brian Wilson' too Close to Bruce Wayne; might want to try some close to your own name 'Thomas Marlowe' comes to mind.

2) 'B' on the outfit too much like the 'R' on Robin's costume

3) Outfit should be more Green Hornet like..name maybe a new name because it reminds me of old DC character Black Spider

Thanks. I came up with the name "Brian Wilson" out of nowhere, I have since noticed the initials were the same though. Somebody told me that it was the name of one of the Beach Boys so I have a small bit of that in the next issue. The B on his suit stands for the last name of his trainer "Black." In his origin, he was a researcher for the "San Diego Science Assosiation." After a large earthquake struck, he was the only survivor in the building. He was buried under ruble but fell into a hidden basement. He lived there for three days, then this guy "Surdon Black" came along and took him from the basement. He made him serve for his army which would go up against another army soon enough as a challenge to see which leader was qualified to rule upon all. Every day, Brian is given a device's pieces to create for Surdon's army. After being kept there for two months, Brian plans an escape. He creates these wrist blades used by Surdon and his army you see in the designs as his weapon. Along with him back to San Diego, he takes the plaque of the "B" just as a token to remember what he had learned there. He also takes a black suit which he puts the B into as well as a belt and the mask. Back at the camp: Lightning Ways, where he was kept by Surdon Black, they call him a trader and a spy... Black's Spy which formed into Black-Spy. He lives with his boss's sister and his boss's son in a hotel. His boss's son later becomes somewhat of a back-up character to Black-Spy known later as Solo.

At the moment though, he is working for the board that creates technology for the company; Bridges Net, the owner, Joseph Bridges later becomes a big villain...

It's out!!!

I'm sorry for this being a day late. I stayed up until midnight last night finishing it. Today, I just added the "TMMWrites" logo at the beginning. There isn't much story for this first one because I was trying to keep it mysterious as a first issue, like the first issue of Batman in Detective Comics where you don't know who he is or why he's doing what he does until the end. This issue is a two-parter entitled "For Now and Forever," a small catch phrase for Black-Spy I made a long time ago.

Do you have links to the actual pages as image files or something? I'm trying to watch it, but I don't really like the whole "Pan and scan" style. I prefer to read comics in my own time.

You might want to redo the video. Notice how when it zooms into the page, the very top of the page gets cut off? You can't read what's Brian's thinking on the first panel of the first page.

Ok, so I've watched the whole thing. Over all I enjoyed it a lot. I love Black-Spy's design, as well as the facial expressions of the characters. the action is also really solid, but there are a few points where what happened seemed kind of vague. Particularly toward the end. I don't exactly know what he was rushing to do after he pulled the guy from the car.

One more recommendation. I think you should add music to the videos. Motion comics generally need some music for mood.

Thanks! I was actually going to color the pages AND add music but I couldn't figure it all out in time of the date I said it would be up on YouTube so I just did that easy effect with the coloring and I skipped the music.

I'm actually done with an edited version of the comic of what got done but wasn't seen. The time for it is about six minutes as well. I'll try adding music tonight or tomorrow and then I'll post a link.

Thank you!! Brandon (the artist) just came out with some new designs as shown here - http://brandonnie...se/scraps

I've picked the new suit design for issues 2-11 which I'll keep a secret for the next three weeks :)

The artist of the series, Brandon Nielsen has bought Photoshop, meaning the series will no longer be black and white! Instead, Brandon will be coloring the 12 pages in each issue!!! I need to stop and just say thanks to all the help and support I've gotten on doing this project. I've had the idea of Black-Spy pretty much my whole life and now that it's actually beginning, it's like a dream come true. Thanks to the few readers and watchers and many supporters. The second issue should be out within the next two weeks. I appreciate the waiting!

If you want to see the cover for issue 2 (done by a completely different artist, Mesut Unal) go to http://mrq1901.deviantart.com/art/Black-Spy-Comics-Issue-2-Ink-162945556 and for the colored version go to http://mrq1901.deviantart.com/art/Black-Spy-Issue-2-Color-162946214

Also, Brandon did this one for fun of Black-Spy (I don't expect you to go to all the links but this one is the one to go to) http://BrandonNielsen87.deviantart.com/art/Black-Spy-Illustration-163098660

The second issue of Black-Spy Comics will be out sometime around tomorrow afternoon! I've taken your requests and used them for this issue such as background music, page cropping, and coloring. The third issue is behind schedule as well. It's actually in it's outline form with a story board I made for fun right now. The villain in issue three you'll see some of at the end of issue two if you pay close enough attention.

This is the long awaited second web comics issue of Black-Spy, For Now and Forever [Part Two] including the fans' suggestions such as background music, cropping adjustments, and coloring. Don't miss that last page featuring a sneak peek of next issue's villain. Programs used include iTunes, iMovie, Photoshop, and Microsoft Paint...

Special thanks to Brandon Nielsen and Mesut Unal!
