hey guys, i actually didnt realize there wasnt a talkback thread for this movie which recently came out. but i just got back form finally getting a chance to see it so i figured id start one up. if the reason there was no thread is cuz u guys havent seen it yet, then i deifinitley encourage u to chekc it out as i thought i twas absolutely awesome.

its got a little bit of everything and is all around quite entertaining. the cgi special fx and etc are brilliant. the acting is done well and the story overall is pretty kool. its got me hooked as far as chekcing out the books as soon as i get the chance to. and yes u mightve heard that there are alot of Biblical connections thruout the movie, and this is true. the books were written by renowned Christian author C.S. Lewis and he does a great job of weaving certain detials into the story. but if thats not ur thing then dont worry, the movie is never preachy or anything, just always entertaining.

hope youll check it out and if u do, then let us know your thought right here in this thread. also regardless of whether uve seen the movie yet or not, if youve got anything to say about the books, feel free to do so as well.

Hmm...I was thinking about making a thread for this as well.

Anyway, I should be seeing it pretty soon, just haven't got the chance yet. I'm really interested in seeing it. I've only read the first of the books; The Magicians Nephew.

I wouldn't beat down on it too much, it was a low budget film I believe.

Heh heh, that's pretty weird, considering the majority of films are 2 hours or more. At least I think anyways.

I bought the animated version yesterday. I had seen it before, but it was stolen in a way. It was made a few years back, and the animation isn't the best but it's still entertaning to watch, for me at least. It even won an Emmy. But anyway, I'm reading the book right now, so that and the cartoon can sort of tie me over until the Disney and version comes out on DVD. big grin

I don't think I'll be checking this one out to be honest. Not really into the whole 'mystic knights' and 'fairies' and 'faraway kingdoms' stuff. I am actually the only person on the face of this earth who didn't like LOTR. I didn't even think it was bad, I just didn't enjoy it. I couldn't connect with the characters and I thought the dialogue was boring at times.
