Do we have any fans of The Twilight Zone?

A convention for the original 1959-64 series is being held in New Jersey; here is the site. Mickey Rooney, Lois Nettleton, Morgan Brittany, Peter Mark Richman and other will be attending.

My family has connections with creator Rod Serling that go back to the 1920s. My grandfather and his sister personally knew the Serling family, and I have worked with his cousin in Rochester, NY from 2001 to 2003. Catfan's Feline Fatale Follies has a tie-in as well, with Suzanne Lloyd as a Catwoman prototype and Julie Newmar being a TZ guest in 1963. Also, I help to administer The Twilight Zone Museum; I did the site's design.

If any TZ fans on this board live in the immediate NYC region, be sure to attend this venue!!

That's cool that you have old family relations with the Zone's creator. I sometimes have dreams where I have that with professional wrestlers, but then I wake up all disappointed...

I'm not much of a fan, but I've seen a couple of the episodes a while back. It's on Sci-Fi a lot, and I've been considering watching some more episodes and trying to get into it. The concepts are pretty cool sometimes. Anyway, hope you have fun at the convention.

This venue is going great guns!!

It is making both The New York Times as well as WWOR news in Secaucus. And I will be working with H.M. Wynant, who played henchman Frosty in the 1966 Batman series.

And it will continue on Sunday!

He's up there with FlaBat, sure, but he's no older than my parents. Besides, I like having a wide range of people on here. In a few more years, we could almost have three whole generations of fans on here (or we could just try and convince a 70-year-old to register). Smile

You got that right!! big grin

Hell, both Morgan and I are all ready for the scrap heap, LOL!! She's 54, and I'm 47. But I did manage to see the premiere episode of Batman when it aired on 12 January 1966. And I tend to think like a kid compared to my peers!
