For the uninitiated, anime are Japanese animated series. I myself like them because they aren't all treated like kids shows like in America, therefore they tend to have great characters, and even most of the kid's anime have at least a semi-decent story. They also have a certain level of quality the artists need to draw at for the show to even be green light. They are pretty much treated as comic books are treated here.
So who here is an anime fan? What are your favorites? I myself like;

Gundam Wing (the anime that made me a fan of anime)
Wolf's Rain
Which Hunter Robin
Cowboy Bebop
And of course every single Studio Ghibli movie I've ever seen!

sort of...but not really. there are some stand alone animes without mangas.
my favorite of all time is karas. well...its more like a really long movie. it has two 80 minute parts. karas is like batman with a samurai sword, but he can actually turn into the batmobile and batwing and stuff. only the first part is out in US....its called Karas: The Prophecy. the next one is coming somewhere around next year.
besides karas, i like samurai champloo, cowboy bebop, and dbz. alot of ppl bash on dbz, but i love the character designs and the games!! i love super dbz and budokai 3.

I don't understand what "Sort of but not really" is refering to. but if your refering to my post when I said "Anime are treated like comics here." I meant to say "Anime are treated like comics are treated here." at least the devlopment prosses is.
And yes I do understand most anime/manga lingo.
I don't really like DBZ, it's pretty much one long fight scene with a little humour mixed in. And the fights aren't even that impressive. But it is interesting to note that most of the martial arts depicted in DBZ, particularly Kame/Roshi's style, are based of Chinese martial arts. Really, they even wear Kung-fu uniforms, though American fans commonly mistaken them for Japanese Gis.
