I made a batman cape and I'm selling it on ebay, if anyone needs it for halloween!!

No one likes my cape?  It's alot prettier in person!!
I was going to use it for my Batgirl costume, but I decided to make one with yellow lining instead. This one would works better for a Batman costume I think. But this material costs like $10 a yard, and is nearly impossible to find.

Sorry, I never saw this post until now. From the photos, it looks pretty nice, but wouldn't you saw $100 is a bit steep for a reserve bid? Not that I want to bid; I'm just not sure that's a good way to start it out. I've been wanting to make a Batman costume from scratch myself, so I'm curious to see more of your costume pieces.

Two suggestions when selling products.
First: Don't say pleather, try something like "Vinyl Leather Substitute" or just Vinyl, when people think pleather they think crappy fake leather.
Second: A cape isn't worth $100, at least not in my mind, so you might want to go for a lower price around the $50-$70 range.
So your making a Batgirl costume? That vinyl is perfect for it, though I imagine a full body suit would be a little uncomfortable. Still I'd like to see pics, I'm becoming a bit of a costume nerd and would like to see a well made Batgirl suit.

Well I was going by what the other people I've seen selling batman capes were pricing theirs. Mine is actually the cheapest pleather cape being sold right now. But the material is very expensive, and it takes alot of time to make.
I'll post some pics of the other peices when I finish. I'm making the mask, chest logo, and the spikes on my glove out of latex. It should be interesting, considering I've never made latex molds before!! They really need to sell a latex Batgirl mask!!

It is very un comfortable!! Lol!! I bought one of the vinyl catsuits from leg aveue, and they make them wierd, so I couldn't sit down, so I just went up a size!! Lol!! I was going to make it myself, but I haven't had time, and figured it was worth the $40 not to do it!! Lol!!
I hate the official Batgirl costumes they sell, so I'm going for as close to comic book style Batgirl as possible. I like the costume for Batgirl on the BOP series, so I'm basing it off of that.
If anyone has any suggestions on my Batgirl costume of knows anhthing about latex molds, it would be appreciated!!

What are you going to use as a belt? A lot of people use the one from Batman & Robin (97), but I don't really like that belt.

The Batgirl suit in the Birds of Prey T.V. series was great, the best live action Batgirl suit in my opinion, unfotunatly I never saw the show so I didn't see it in motion. And it is amazing that they used the B&R(97) belt, but the made it look good!
P.S. How much screentime did the suit get?

The belt is probably the only thing I'd change. I like the pouches better, so I'll use my batman belt buckle and make some pouches for it.
I never got to see the bop series either. But I really love her costume. I'm going to make the mask and logo like her's. I wanted to make the body armor out of latex too, but that a little more than I can handle. I'll probably make the corset thing out of the vinyl material so it still looks the same. I need to find a pattern for that. I just bought some yellow boots on ebay and I need yellow material like them for the gloves. If anyone sees any of those things let me know!! Here's a pic of the boots:
The suit was in the pilot and the episode Lady Shiva.

The best thing about that costume is how it's a testament to Schumacher's prop department. The BOP suit is about 95% the B&R suit, it just has a comic style paint job, gloves and boots that don't go as high up the arms and legs, and a more organic looking bat emblem. If Schumacher made it Black and Yellow instead of Midnight Blue it would have looked great.

It would also looked better if Batgirl wasn't blonde!! :p I think they messed her up alot in B&R. She should have worn the cowl too.

The only things I'm really changing are what material some parts are made of, and the belt. Other than that, it will probably be all the same. Do you guys think I should do anything different with the cowl or chest logo? Or any other parts?

the reason alicha didnt wear a full cowl was because she said it hurt her head so they went with the little mask
