You mean for an adult costume?

I have two cowls, because I have two deluxe costumes. The first costume I got was back in 1989 and it has the Bat Logo (with the two extra points) attached to it. The second costume is the B&R Clooney style and the cowl it does not have the Bat Logo attached and has a slit in back and Velcro fasteners.

I know there was a Batman Returns cowl that was the same as the first Batman one, but had the regular Logo on it. I?m not sure about the back of it because I never got one.

As far as finding one? EBay of course, but some costume places may still have one on their rental suits and maybe they would sell you one.

Look on eBay for the '92 Returns replica cowl. It's not only the best Keaton style cowl that was made for wide purchase; it's also tha single best Batman cowl replica ever made.

I don't have one, but I've read about it and seen them; they hold there shape well, so if you wear it it won't look too weird. And they're pretty durable.

I guess you want it for display, as the seem on the back is nesicary for you to actually put it on.

Hey bro, come on over to the BOTB costuming site and we can help you out with your costuming endeavors. Heres a link, you'll have to register a username :http://com1.runboard.com/bbrotherhoodofthebat

To try to give you a little insight into the licensed cowls tho Ill give you a brief rundown on whats what. There are actually very noticeable differences between the 89 and Retruns cowls, you'll have to decide which one you want. Here is a list of some of the mass produced cowls that were/are available:

89 Morris cowl - this was produced by the Morris company in 1989 and was available both seperately and as part of the whole costume set. These were solid pulls (meaning no slit in the back) and were actually quit nice. They are no longer available but they do pop up from time to time on ebay and also come available for trade from other collectors.

92 Morris cowl - Same as above only in the Returns style, very, very rare. There were actually 2 versions made of this, one was a thicker latex and the other was a thinner vinyl.

92 Commemorative - This was produced after the films initial release by Rubies and is still available today. This does have the slit up the back, but it is installed well and isnt all that noticable. There are some things you should know about this tho, first, its small. Unless you have a 22" head size or smaller it will not fit. The ears have a tendency to need fixing. They are often crooked and bent. You can heat them up with a hairdryer or heat gun and stuff them to get a straight ahpe. They are also made of vinyl, so any pull flaws will be noticable. You cant paint vinyl cowls. Also a word of warning, Im sure youve seen the stock photo of these cowls, they DO NOT look like that.

There have also been a couple of other 89 styled cowls made by Rubies, but be warned, while some do not have a slit in the back are are bigger in size, they are poor quality. I can tell you this because I have owned every one of the cowls I have talked about.

These are the 89 and Returns cowls that are available. There are, however afew other options when it comes to mass produced cowls. Rubies also did a Forever Sonar cowl that was available in 2 styles, the full head and neck cowl and one that just fit below the chin. The full head one is nice if you get a good pull, but hard to come by. These were also vinyl. Rubies also did 3 different Clooney styled cowls, all have slits in the back, save one, whcih is a more rare pull and a slit was later added on the run. One cowl was the first release that was available singly and with the deluxe latex costume, it was "decent" but not great, they later redid this and it was much larger and it looked terrible. They also did a "deluxe" Clooney cowl which was vinyl, had a blueish hue in certain lighting and was a bit smaller. It fit like the Returns commemorative. The Clooneys are also still available.

Just recently Rubies also did 2 versions of the Begins cowl. Both have slits, large in size, but one is latex and one is vinyl.

If you just want something to have and maybe wear with a costume and dont want to spend much money these are your choices. If you want a replica cowl that is almost indentical to the movie pieces, you may want to try and get a fan made cowl. However these run much more.

I sent you a PM with some info.

To answer your question about the Returns Commemorative being a decent display item, if you work on it. Its really flimsy and wont hold shape on its own. You will need to stuff it.

Here is some pics of my costume displays, all are custom:
