I will keep you in mind for the Legends Batmobile... I must've worded that oddly. I already have the Batmobile I plan on customizing. It's been just sitting around dissassembled and dusty for a while. I very much appreciate the offer though. Maybe you will come across something I'd like to buy eventually.
I saw your custom figures. I'm not very familiar with the characters, but they look pretty cool. Nice job.

I've just had to Wikipedia "Thrift Store" - because for all the time I've been reading your posts, I've not known what you were on about! Now I get it. |

You got one of the best Batman action figures out there for a mere $2? And I already have it, but my brother has been dying to get that LOTDK Man-Bat. You could be such a vital outlet for other collectors... If I was you, I'd probably not post about these on too many big forums; you'd probably have people from all over PMing you asking you to buy stuff for them.

Thats the one...The Batsphere sells at the thrift for $1.99...
I still can not force myself to buy it...
If I do pick it up, I will use it for custom stuff...
Also there was a Toybiz 1989-1990 Batman movie
Batbike for .76 cents...I already have one and this
find was missing the rear turbo thingy...
Also a Superman action figure with long hair and
a Robin from Toybiz or Superpowers line...Maybe I'll
go back to get the Robin...
As for the Marvel stuff... A Spiderman wearing the Electo silver
and black outfit and a large Rhino with a face only mother can love...
Tons of stuff of the Spiderman and
Friends toys (the kiddy cubby toys) and alot of Teenage
Mutant Turtle action figures...
I would pick all these items up; but I save my money for the good
stuff...Plus I do not want to buy some thing out of impulse that will
drift away from my collection...

I'm surprised for that price you're not tempted -
Even if you don't like it, if you've got 100s of great things to put it next to - for $2 - it's gotta be worth a go, surely..................
If you've not got things you like, then having something you don't actually like would be a lot harder (if that makes sense - probably not, but I know what I mean). |

I will say this, I have had more luck finding items
at the thrift than any other toy convention or
E-Bay for the prices I have paid...
So remember to take out your father for dinner
afterwards...
I will bet your dad will enjoy the time together...

In case you're interested, that Superman is probably from Kenner's 1994 Man of Steel line. I found an extra one a few months back for 25 cents - nice figure. I think you can tell the difference between Kenner's SPC Robin and ToyBiz's DC Comics Super Heroes Robin by the slightly different head sculpt. The hair on the ToyBiz one may be smoother and less defined. Of course, there's also the copyright year on the back of the leg, which would be either 1984 or 1989. Here're the images links below...

Of course, we look for completely different stuff (he's interested in old-fashioned tools and such) but I never turn down a free ride to a flea market and a meal afterwards.
