Moved to Television section..
They roughly make mention of freaky things with metors in the pilot episode.. but other than that.. now...

Yeah, I would hate to think Batman is dead in Smallville, never to be in the JLA, that would really suck

I don't think he was dead in Birds of Prey. I think he just left Gotham City because he felt defeated. Catwoman died and the Joker paralyzed Barbara.
And the chances of Batman being in Smallville are impossible. Unless of course, DC Comics gives the show the right to have him on.

Were any writters or producers the same in Smallville and Birds of Prey?

It doesn't mean anything... Watch the show. They say Batman left. Not to mention, the last scene of the last ep has Alfred talking to Bruce on the phone.

Is Birds of Prey still on?
Anywhere?
I don't remember anything beyond the first few episodes, years ago.
Sum Nox!

Nope, Birds of Prey can only be seen on DVD unless you download it.

I've never seen any of it. I'm pretty sure it was never on in the UK - and for reasons I can't really explain I've never got round to getting the DVDs. I think there's a Timm/Dini cartoon on the DVD box set too isn't there? Which probably makes it all the more surprising I've never got the DVDs. |

I think the Gotham Girls webcartoons are extras on the DVD. I've been unsure as to whether or not to pick this up on DVD or not. I know some have compared it to Smallville - which doesn't impress me as after the second/third season of Smallville it's all went to pot - but to anyone who has seen it, do you recommend it? |

I liked it, it wasn't the best, but it wasn't that bad either...

I'm a bit torn. I wasn't a big fan of The New Batman Adventures - the way the characters were drawn was a lot inferior to Batman The Animated Series - but I got it because of BTAS. And the main appeal to me about Birds of Prey is Gotham Girls and that Sherilyn Fenn is in the pilot episode. I've not liked what I've read about The Huntress thus far. I may pick it up when I have some more spare cash to blow but for now I think I'll give it a miss. |
