Hey wouldn't be cool if they made a live action batman show based on the comics (NOT begins) that is really dark, intelligent and, classy. And no sidekicks just the bat. *jlbatman*

Eh...no.
I love Batman Begins, and wouldn't want anything to compromise what people think of it. Superhero shows are really passe anyway. The last true superhero show was Lois and Clark and that ended eight years ago. Smallville and Birds of Prey are/were silly excuses for superhero shows, trying to update timeless characters.

Yeah, I'm not sure how I'd feel about a live action Batman series. I remember reading some comics from just before A Death in the Family and thought to myself how cool it'd be if they were made into episodes of a Batman TV series. Those realistic ones with drug dealers and rapists and whatnot. But I really don't know how that'd end up.

Well the timeing of when these shows would air is important and I wouldn`t really want it interfering with the present movies. Between B&R and a year before Begins came out was the best time for any live action Batman related series.

Given the popularity of cop shows, how about taking Gotham Central to the small screen? |

I'd like a cartoon that was set in the same universe as BB and was meant for adults. It shows what happens between each film so we can see Scarecrow again and Riddler etc

Like Clone Wars? I could see that - the CW stories were better than Episodes 1-3...with the stronger base material of Batman, that could definitely be a good mini-series. |

How about a revamping of the sixties television series? ?????
Keep the notion of a dynamic duo,
the reoccurring guest star villains,
the 2 per week idea with the cliffhanger and its continuation
but give it all a more serious tone? but not as serious as BEGINS or even a SMALLVILLE.
Keep it fun and entertaining BUT NOT RIDICULOUS.
It should also be set in the past so that Batman?s devices are innovative to the times he lives in
AND
exploit the DETECTIVE aspect of Batman?s character? another thing the sixties show utilized?
again though, NOT TO THE POINT OF BEING RIDICULOUS.
It would also be cool if from time to time, Bruce Wayne would have flashbacks to further explain his past and his growing from child to adult.
Visually exciting, smart scripts with a fast-paced feel and a little sex appeal from time to time and it could be great!

I do like this idea, though. It could be made sort of like the Animatrix. And the animation could be really gothic. That would be cool. I'd love to see an animated version of Scarecrow from Begins. He could wear the big straitjacket he wears at the end of the movie.

Actually, I could get behind a retro/serial Batman. Take some of the concepts of the earlier Batman, but not the same level of campiness...more of an "adventure" show, almost with an "Indiana Jones" feel. That would be a fun idea.
I know it would never happen, but that's why this is a "what if..." thread. |

A revival of Batman on TV? SURE!!
The first season of Batman was much more serious, and that is part of my basis for Batman 1969. As for a series today, I would love that. I plan to explore this in a planned fan series, that would focus on Batman, Catwoman and Carrie Kelly as Catgirl. I would set it in the present time, with noir retro touches reminiscent of The Twilight Zone or Johnny Staccato. One inspiration of mine are the 1940s serials, especially the sense of adventure.
