Indeed!... It seems that they "Lay Off" the most experienses employers, and got a bunch of cheap rookies... wich u can see the horrible paint job they do to the products lol!

I’ve all but stopped buying this line. I have almost all of them up through Wave 4, but with Wave 5 and on I’m being more selective. The Riddler is the only Wave 5 figure I have and Killer Moth will be the only Wave 6 figure I want. Waves 7 and 8 have nothing I really care for.

It’s been way too hard to collect these at retail and I like to look at a figure most of the time before I buy it. This is especially true of these figure as Mattel’s Quality Control is really lacking on some of them.

For everyone who's collecting these figures, how's the search been? I gave up last year because it was too expensive and they were too difficult to find.

I all but stopped after Wave 4. Distribution on these figures is horrible. Wave 1 was restocked several times at Target and TRU but all the Waves that followed were all but non-existent on the pegs. If you found them chances are you found the only ones that store got. This past weekend I found Wave 2 at Target while Wave 7 was at TRU just a few blocks away, which seemed to miss the previous four waves of figures altogether.

Add to the mess of Wave 5 the Wal-Mart exclusive set that was not carried by all Wal-Marts and the two exclusive Batman Beyond and Cyborg figures that were Kay Bee exclusives and you have a series of figures that are impossible to find at retail. Don’t forget the MattyCollector.com exclusives too of Lobo and the Adam Strange and Starfire set.

Case Ratios switched around during the run and made it hard to buy full sets at Online Stores. Mattel was fixing that with cases of single figures that would allow online stores to complete a set. Then there are Quality Control issues. Limbs falling off, wrong feet or hands on a figure and paint apps that were thin and sloppy and Mattel just made it worse.

This is the best line of figures ever and Mattel keeps screwing things up yet it soldiers on ward with the announcement of Wave 9. I thought it would have died by now, but continues to come out with new and innovate characters that you’ll never see hanging on the pegs.

I get mine online, however I have been finding these at the local Walmart here, and not just the older waves but wave 6 was there!

Here's the thing, if you're not finding htese at your Walmart do not blame Mattel. This is not a Mattel issue but a Walmart one. Remember Walmart buys by the truck loads then they send them to their stores.

You can ask the toys manager to order them, but they might never get them in because they are considered a "Assembly Item" which takes forever to replenish. I did however ask our toy manager and he put in an order for 30 cases, we got 5. So talk to your local walmart toy managers and ask them to special order, then again, they can't promise which figures you'll get because the assortment number is the same for all waves.

Where do you order it from and does it end up being more expensive than buying it in stores?

I get em from here:

http://www.corner...omics.com

And yea, they are a little more expensive because of S&H. But I figure between the gas money I might spend, that 10 or so bucks isn't anything..

That's where I got some of my Street Fighter figures. It's a good site, the only problem is that sometimes the only sell a product in cases, so if you only want one or two figures from a series your screwed

Hey guys, need to know something. Just saw the first page of this forum. Saw the PENGUIN figure. Where can I find that action figure? And how much will it cost me? Cost doesn't matter really. And if you guys find anymore Penguin action figures of any kind, please notify me. Thank you, much appreciated.

At this point eBay or maybe some of the online stores is your only shot at Penguin. This wave of figures flooded the market for weeks at the end of last year, but were "recalled" by Mattel and ahve been off the pegs for awhile now.

Wave seven is out. I saw it last night at the store. However this is the series that splits the wave up. Here is what you get in one case:

Camo Aquaman
Booster Gold
Captian Cold
Batman - World's Greatest
Friestorm - World's Greatest
Robin - World's Greatest
Shazam - World's Greatest

I'm all for re-releasing, but first Shamaz is still on the shelf from Wave 6, plus there needs to be more figures from the actual wave. But, at least they are coming.

I bought Green Lantern and the Flash on Toysrus.com and they arrived today. They look outstanding. At first, I was a little hesistant to buy because of S&H but since I can't find them in my local stores, I decided it was best. They were $10 each and I also bought Wonder Woman on eBay.

If I have more money, I would like to get Nightwing, Robin, Aquaman (orange and green costume), and Batman Beyond.

I may also consider Deathstroke, Sinestro (yellow costume), Hawkman, Riddler, and Captain Marvel.

I wonder if Mattel will also do Hawkgirl, Green Arrow, Huntress, Martian Manhunter.

Toy haven't been checking out the Database, have you? LOL.

Hawkgirl:

Green Arrow:

Martian Manhunter should be wave 10, 11 or 12. Huntress will come, but they haven't announced her yet. With all the air time she's getting, I'm sure it's just a matter of time. She'll also be a good one to have a Variant of. Earth 2 Version (Helena Wayne) and the current version..

Also, AFI revealed Power Girl. She'll be in an upcoming wave!

WOW! Look at the cleveage on her!

I know that sounds perverted, but after that godawful "uni-boob" they had on Starfire I'm really glad to see they're actually studying female anatomy.

Yeah, i haven't been checking the database. Green Arrow and Hawkgirl look great. I wonder what Huntress and Martian Manhunter will look like. I also hope Mattel produces a Zatanna figure.

They will.. Give them time, I mean we're getting at least 35-40 new figures not counting the Matty Exclusives a year. They have a 5 year contact, (four now) So we're looking at a minimum of 200 new figures over a 5 year time.

Always check the Database, it's pretty much updated all the time.

In case you missed the news yesterday, Mattel sent out the pics for the Wildcat Variant. When it was first announced that there would be a variant, I was really hoping for a Classic and a modern as in Wildcat's son. Much like they did with Firestorm and Aquaman, but this Blue version is kinda neat and now I'm wondering which one I would rather have if I only get one..

http://www.batman...dmore=870

I guess the best thing to do is to get both!
