This has to be the most inappropriate packaging mistake since Jell-O Fun Barbie. The figure itself isn't too bad, but the action feature takes away from it a bit.

Yep, she really existed (picture available at http://www.dustcatchers.com/barbie/02jello.jpg). It came with a package of Jell-O and a little Barbie-sized bathtub, too...the tub was a mold to use when making the Jell-O. Apparently whoever was working at Mattel then is still there.

My wife picked one up back when they came out; she and I have the same sense of humor, and we enjoy collecting toys that just came out wrong.

There was a Rollerblade Barbie that had Roller Blade Skates that sparked. The same flint sparking mechanism like in The Batman?s Firefly figure and countless other toys over the years. Dave Barry immortalized it by using one to set his underwear on fire.

Hee hee. I don't think I ever really noticed Nightwing's hand positioning before. I s'pose I see what you mean, Spencer. He usually repells bullets from his chest, not the bread basket.

You want to know what's worst about this Bulletproof Superman figure. To work the action feature properly, you have to turn a dial that's on the left side of his chest(Which of course interfers with the sculpt of the chest area) and then press the "S" belt sheild for it to light up. That's right, turn the dial, then press a button, because if you don't, it may not light up sometimes(Trust me, I've tried it in stores). Way a go Mattel. I can't believe it, but you took the simple "Press a button to activate a feature" concept and made it crappy by the stupid dial on the chest. You could of just simply done a press a button and it will light up, but Nnnnooooo!!!! You guys had to add the dial there probably so that you guys can think your the smartest and most innovative toy company in the world. Next time Mattel, if you want action features on the figures, keep it simple, and don't do a stupid move like what you did here(And probably with a couple of the other Superman Returns figures as well). This could of been a cool and neat figure(I mean, I would think it's cool to see the light up represent the bullets bounching off Superman's chest), but because of the need of the dial, it's isn't as cool as it could be.
