Are the Superman, Supergirl and Bizarro different from the previous ones released in the DC Super-Heroes waves or just different packaging? |

FINALLY! I've been wanting that Steel forever. I'll pick up Parasite and Supergirl too, if I see 'em. I'm just glad these are finally showing up, it seemed as if Mattel had forgotten they were supposed to be releasing this line.

That is a great looking Supergirl. I may take my white T-shirt version back, if possible, and buy the new one. As for the variants, well, I don't recall anyone from Mattel promising there wouldn't be any. Parasite is also a must-buy, but I'm not sure about Steel. I've got the 1994 Man of Steel version, the 1998 JLA version, and my DC Direct version is probably nearly identical in both scale and sculpt.
Judging by the cardback art, I wonder if that Doomsday will have a sort of "Lava Reflection" paint job like those Target exclusive Revenge of the Sith figures.

From what I've read, Doomsday is "Lava Colored"
But hey, look on the bright side.. at least it's not Batman....

Definitely going to have to get Steel; Parasite and Supergirl are both in the "maybe" column. I'll have to see them in person to decide. I'll pass on the others.

Now that I take a closer look, I wonder if this version of Superman will have corrected, more traditional red & blue colors. The previous versions had that odd lavender-type blue and dirty brownish red, but the new one looks much more traditional and vibrant on the cardback, probably to better fit with the new Supergirl who also sports vibrant colors. Besides, I don't see much point in releasing the exact same figure again as a single. This sort of corrected re-releasing is really getting on my nerves.

I was expecting that they would alternate between Batman and Superman Waves. Now we have two Superman Waves back to back and only a few figures in this Wave look worthwhile.
Target still has Superman Two Packs on the shelves after Christmas should have flushed them out. Toys R Us has Superman figures at clearance pricing and now they are going to get ANOTHER Superman Wave?

I think we'd all like to see those, plus loads more. I'd like to see a 12 year old Robin (Dick Grayson) But, for whatever reason, they only do so many new figures for each wave. The Batman wave should be the one to get, Batgirl (cassie) Two-Face and Catwoman should be included, then with Toy Fair next month, we'll see more of whats planned.

The back packaging for this wave of DCSH has a sort of "Movie" feel to it in my opinion(Kind of like "The Ultimate Battle: Starring Superman, Supergirl, Steel, Doomsday, Parisite, and Bizzaro". Or something like that). All in all, they look really good, and it's good that they've re-released both Superman(This time in more accurate colours) and Doomsday(A nice variant, maybe based on when he fought Superman in the volcano in JLU), probably 2 of the most sought out Wave 2 toys. Bizzaro, still good. |

Flabat.. most of these figures are DC Direct.. but, so is Doomsday, Bane, Batman, Batgirl, Robin, I mean.. pretty much, if it's Batman or Superman related, Mattel can make it..
(cept Superboy, because of the legal crap, he's dead, in comics and figures)

all those are true, but joker and bain werent correct scale, and darkseid and doomsday could be bigger. |
