I never, ever go to Big Lots, but I was near one Wednesday on my way home from filling out paperwork for a new job. I needed a notebook, and didn't wanna stop at Wal-Mart, so I stopped by Big Lots. We've had this store here for 5 or 6 years, and this must be the third time I've gone in there, ever. Just for the hell of it, I swung by the action figures on my way out, and a bunch of newly shelved Mattel DC stuff was there! There were two-packs of a comic-style Batman variant and a repaint Joker for $12, a bunch of the new JLU 3 packs for $9, and two pegs full of the most recent Superman DCSH assortment. Not expecting to find anything new, I dug through a chrome-plated Steel, black costume Superman, Mongul, Darkseid, and then discovered a Cyborg Superman! I still can't believe the luck. They also had a whole bunch of the comic-style Batman line variants for $7 each. If you've got a Big Lots in town, head on over and try your luck.
There's a Big Lots in the next town north of me. Last week I picked up the Batman/Joker 2-pack from 2003, the Black Canary/Joker/Batman JLA 3-pack and the Superman/Supergirl/Steel JLA 3-pack, both from this year. Today I picked up a 2003 Batman figure that I didn't have and better yet, three of the new DC Superfriends figures. I found Batman, Superman and Flash. I've been waiting to find these in the usual department stores but haven't seen them. And I find them at Big Lots with stuff that came out four years ago. Amazing. Thanks for the heads up Drunken Fist!

I stopped by the local Big Lots today, and after weeks of the same old, same old, they had a full compliment of DCSH figures. Steel, Parasite, Mongul, Superman, Black Suit Superman, Cyborg Superman, and dozens of Batman figures (including the Batman/Joker 2-pack). I grabbed a Cyborg Supes for myself.
