I picked up Batman and Penguin at Toys R Us this weekend. Nice looking figures. I haven't taken them out of the packaging, but they are pretty cool looking. The store had two Batman figures and one Penguin. I would guess that they had one case and the other ones were picked up rather fast.

So what would the Stateside stores prices be? They're about $16/$18 dollars each on Ebay.
When figures are new here, they'll be anything from £10 to £15 each! At current exchanges thats about $20 to $30!

They're retailing for $10 each. That's what I paid for the couple I have.

Ok guys, it's time for Batman and DC fans to stand up and let our voice be heard. Wal-Mart will not be carrying the new DCUC line as of yet. Why? Well, I'd guess it's because they feel it won't sale, or that Mattel will not handle it right.
Please contact Wal-Mart via this link: http://walmartstores.com/GlobalWMStoresWeb/navigate.do?catg=221
And let them know you would like them to re-consider. Also, pass the link to others and have them send some feedback. I do request that you'r not hateful, and you be polite about it.
Many of us don't have Targets or TRUs, so Wal-Mart is the only place we can go.

I noticed they were out tonight when I was on Ebay (I've still not got Orion from series 1 and so was looking for one of those - and found Green Lantern and Robin). |

There is a store here that might still have Orion. If so, I'll pick him up for you..

I picked up a case. I only really wanted Robin and Grundy, but when I saw the Green Lantern he replaced my modern age one that I have on display. There seem to be a lot of quality control issues with this series so if you find them in a store check your ou well. My Robin is stuck just about doing the splits, which is annoying since I pose pretty much everything I have stainding up straight.

Mine came yesterday, they look nice - but I haven't opened them yet.
Deathstroke looks particularly good. I got both the masked and unmasked versions - but I didn't actually realise there was a Sinestro variant til after I bought the set I did. I should pay attention. |

I like the whole series, but Robin is to small. Then Grundy seems to big. I thought Grodd was big, but wow, Grundy is MUCH bigger.

Depending on the comic you look at, Grundy is too big, but he fits in pretty well with the other villains that I have. Since my figures are largely DC Direct, most of my figures are a slightly larger scale than Mattel's stuff. So he fits well with my stuff.

I've opened them up now and whilst Robin isn't actually doing the splits, you need to phaff about with him for a while to get him to stand up in a pose that could be deemed relatively normal.
What is the point in making a figure where you can have his leg out flat and at a complete right angle, but you struggle to get him to stand in a way someone that could be deemed relatively normal?
I need to get Lobo now - I only saw that after I followed the links to our very own toy sections!

So what's the verdict? I wanna get Nightwing & possibly Robin, are they worth it?
