Batgirl
The Batman EXP: Mattel, 2006. Asst J1914, SKU# J1916

The Batman TV series has recently introduced Barbara Gordon, the teenage daughter of Commissioner Gordon as Batgirl. She first appears at the beginning of Season 3 in a two part episode ?Batgirl Begins Part 1? (and Part2) and is voiced by Danielle Judovits.

The Batman cannot use Robin because of licensing issues with Teen Titans, so Batgirl comes along to help Batman fight crime. She?s decked out in a purple dress, a possible nod to Batgirl from the 60?s TV show that also wore purple.

SPECS:
The figure stands 4 5/8 inches tall and has 4 points of articulation (head, shoulders, and waist). She comes with an EXP Accessory/Weapon with a Power Key and a Stand.

PROS:
It?s Batgirl, what?s not to like? She?s appears to be relatively true to the shows character desin, except the inside of her cape is not purple. A lined cape was probably not in the budget.

CONS:
She?s one of the smallest Batman figures released and as such comes up short in articulation. While I can understand that, I wonder why her arms needed to be a very soft, almost rubber-like plastic. I would have preferred harder plastic for the arms.

OVERALL:
The figure is going to one of the more sought after figures and because she?s Batgirl, she will probably be short packed like most female figures before her. She comes with a small purple stand, which I almost missed hidden behind the label, but she stands well without it. She can hold the accessory with her left hand, the right one is open, but the soft plastic makes it hard to keep it in her hand.
One interesting note about the accessory, it?s the same (repainted) as the one with Knight Shadow Batman and Flame Stopper Batman. The Card Back does not have Batgirl on it. It has Batman demonstrating the accessory on The Joker on it. In fact Batgirl, Knight Shadow Batman and Flame Stopper Batman all have the exact same Card Back. This is the first time I recall a Card Back showcasing the accessory rather than the figure. Three other Batman figures, Knight Strike Batman, Batarang Crusader Batman and Camo Tech Batman all share the same accessory and Card Back also.

Her head is bigger than Batmans!
I really don't like the fiugre, though I'll get it just because it's Batgirl.

Yeah, the head is way too big, but that's the way she looks like on the show too.

Yeah, her head is too big, but I guess that's how it is in the show as well. I'd buy her just because, but she doesn't look like too good of a figure. The stand is nice in my opinion, it's pretty cool.
Hmm...that new one looks like her neck is too long and I don't think I'm interested in getting a orange Batgirl.
Nice review FlaBat.

Well I hope to get another one in purple, then a couple in the red when it comes out and do a head swap on one of them.

I'll try my best to find this figure, at least its sorta in scale to her size compared to Batman. (except the head)
That orange one, the neck better get smaller before it comes out.

She's on Wave 1 Card Backs, but they have a mix of what I would call Wave 1 and 2 figures on the Card Backs anyway.

She is all but impossible to find. I?ve only seen two on the pegs, and money?s tight so I passed on picking up the second one. Of all The Batman figures this one seems to be the most rare one for now.
