Robin
Contemporary Teen Titans Series 1: DC Direct, 2004

DC Direct?s new series of Contemporary Teen Titans figures brings us one of the first comic book accurate Robins in the current Tim Drake costume and a welcome addition to their Hush Batman figure.

SPECS:

5 7/8? tall, 11 points of articulation, (head, shoulders, elbows, gloves, hips, knees), hard plastic cape. Bo Staff, Teen Titans base.

PROS:

A very solid figure and better than Battle Board Robin because of the better articulation and more closely resembling the Tim Drake Robin as he appears in the comics. The articulation is good and does not detract from the figure sculpt.

CONS:

The figure comes with a Bo Staff and it can only be placed in the left had because the right hand is a closed fist. It would have been nice to have holes in both or an interchangeable hand like Hush Batman. The hole in the left hand is too small making putting the staff in a very tight fit. I had to use lubrication (not normally used on an action figure) to get it to slide in (no snickering, please). The ball joint shoulders are nice, but have very limited movement, they will not rise up very much, at least not as much as they do on Battle Board Robin.

OVERALL:

This is an excellent figure and a must have for any Batman collector. This may be the only Tim Drake Robin DC Direct release, so he should fit in well with other DC Direct Batman figure series.
