Have any of you been picking up the recent couple of issues of Teen Titans (43 & 44 specifically)? There have been some explanation as to what has been causing Cassandra Cain's strange behavior in the One Year Later DC Universe.
SPOILERS AHEAD
The overall plot of those two and an upcoming issue is that Deathstroke (Slade on the cartoon) has formed Titans East to counter the Teen Titans (a team based on the west coast). He uses Batgirl to fight Robin. Why would she work for him? He has been injecting her with the same drugs that he had been injecting Ravager with that put her under his control. This has been the cause of all the strange things that she had been doing like leading the League of Assassins (see Robin One Year Later issues) and killing Lynx.
By the end of the issue Robin has broken her free of the drugs, so she should be back to normal relatively soon.
There is one more issue left in the story, if you are a Titans fan the arc is definitely worth picking up.

I have been keeping up with it, although I'm not able to buy the comics. So do you think we'll have our Batgirl back? Or will she be tainted for a while?

I really wanna see how this will affect things later on. I mean, yeah......she was being drugged and controlled by Slade.
BUT she still killed people and is still violent (her saying she wants to kill Slade)
And at the same time, Bruce just left her after Infinite Crisis it seems. He talked to Robin and Nightwing, and even talked to Oracle about it (in Nightwing annual) but he seemed to just not mention it to Batgirl.
In Supergirl, Robin said Batgirl is one of the few people he's seen that hurt Bruce......but, it's kinda his fault isn't it?
I hope this story carries over because it could lead to some very interesting storylines.

I never really liked Cassandra's Batgirl and always thought she would revert back to the dark side but to have her mind controlled by Deathstroke with drug I don't know it seems like a cop out to me
