This issue was pretty wild. Everything just took a big turn and this truly became a Crisis.

I think that Wally went to a place like Barry was just before he sacrificed himself. Maybe into the Speed Force itself. For those that don't know, Barry spent an unknown amount of time in the future with his wife before he went back and stopped the Anti-Monitor. He was there long enough to have a daughter with Iris. The daughter is Impulse's mother. I would guess that Wally, Linda, and their twins are in a similar place/situation, not necessarily the same place.

If you like Nightwing, but haven't been picking up the title, I would recommend this week's issue. It expands on the scene in the issue of Infinite Crisis. Each issue really did well to show what Dick's place is in the DCU. He is really the combination of Batman and Superman.

Speaking of Grayson, after what the Society has done to Bludhaven, I really understand why there is going to be a series called "War for Bludhaven." This is almost as bad as the Quake that hit Gotham.

The fight between Superboy and Superboy-Prime was harsh. Some of the best sequencing and art of the series so far, but if you thought the fight in the first issue between the Freedom Fighters and the Society was bad, this takes it to a whole new level.

I need to play a little catch up, but expect a plot summary and review of 3 and 4 early next week.

Best issue yet. The whole Flash scene was just killer. I'm still processing it, so more rambling from me later.
By the way, you should all really be reading these features on Newsarama. They do one for every issue, and it really helps with understanding who a lot of the minor characters are. There were several in this issue I didn't recognize.

Well, it's just still just a rumor at this point. There are dozens of rumors swirling around the IC and OYL books, so you have to take just about everything with a grain of salt.

Yeah, Bruce retired, became police commissioner, and married Selina. They had a daughter Helena. Selina was killed trying to stop someone from blackmailing her. To avenge her mother's death Helena became the Huntress.

This was all on Earth two, which was, of course, never existed (kinda) because of the Crisis. I haven't seen the rumors of her return, but she would potentially be a candidate for Batwoman, which was confirmed in the issue before last of Wizard. Didio said that Batwoman will be someone tha twe are not thinking will be her. SHould be a nice reveal in the coming months.

I don't know, if you read the bio that Beyond pointed to, she died during the Crisis. I can't figure out how this split will work because there were people from 5 Earths on the unified DC Earth, now there is a split. It will probably trigger the return of the Infinite Earths, for a time at least.

Interesting developments in the Crisis Tie Ins from this week and last.

SPOILERS

Adventures of Superman 648 - Superman cleans up the mess that Chemo left in Bludhaven. It has been really cool to see how they have had so many comics tie in to that disaster while still keeping the general idea in the main Crisis miniseries. Basically Superman fought the Chemo blob until it had gathered itself up ridding Bludhaven of its toxic levels. Then with the help of the Metal Men recaptured Chemo. Nice to see that they aren't going to make Bludhaven a place that only people resistent to the toxins can go to. Not required reading, but still a good story.

Robin 146 - Connor did survive the fight with Superboy Prime, but he is dying because his body does not absorb soloar energy as rapidly as Superman's so when his reserves run out his body begins to "eat" itself to maintain power levels. The rest of the Titans break into Cadmus to try to find a cure that Luthor must have made because Luthor wants to keep Connor around.

Rann/Thanagar War Special - The War ended when they found out about the outside force that the Rannians did not cause the troubles on Thanagar by teleporting their planet into the same star system. A Thanagarian surrvellience satelllite revealed a person that looked just like Superman, but younger. Then out of no where Kilowog (a Green Lantern) said that it was Superboy Prime. How do they know who he is if he never existed with them, due to the first Crisis? I think that was a big editorial error. The issue takes place during Infinite Crisis #4 with the big gold hands coming out of the cosmic rift through out the issue. Kyle Rayner and Jade (Golden Age GL: Alan Scott's daughter) try to stop the rift, but a pulse kills Jade who gives her powers up to Kyle turning him into Ion. The Guardians watching the event discuss how Ion is the next step in the evolution of the Green Lanterns. Yet again the special was better than the series. It will be interesting to see in the next couple of months how the specials are for the series that were done better.

Yeah, that issue of Robin is one of the only issues from Willingham I've truly enjoyed. I even liked the brief conversation between Batman and the Patriot. I didn't read your synopsis of the Rann-Than Ic special, though. I won't be able to read that until it arrives in next week's shipment to my house. I really enjoyed last month's DoV Ic special, though. Adv. of Superman, with the aftermath of the Society's strike against the 'Haven, was pretty good, too. Seems Rucka is really trying to offer a dissenting view to what Batman said to Superman in IC #1. It makes sense, since we've also seen Lois breifly arguing with Clark about that statement's truth.

Newsarama has released the Jim Lee cover to Infinite Crisis #5.

Pretty cool, one of the better Lee covers in this series.

Yeah, it is a pretty good cover. His covers for this series have been surprisingly awful. The only one I've liked before this one was the cover to #3. It's like Lee is just phoning these in, which is very odd for such a prestigious series.
