Has seen or read any of these? I don't think we've talked about them here. If we have, I've missed it and now can't find it.

The reason I ask, when I first knew these were being released, I was really quite excited. I've not read these and I've wanted to for years. Then when I actually saw one (and I'm glad I did, rather than just buy blind, through the net) it REALLY made me cross.

For UK RRP £31.99 you basically got a colour, hardback Showcase type thing. Thats all they were. Presentation WASN'T good. These are low quality, low resolution books - and I was SO annoyed with them I decided to pass (however much I want to read the stories).

I've just looked at Amazon, and a reviewer has made me think twice about my initial reaction. Check out the The 5 STAR Amazon Review, and he's got me wondering if he's got a point. Is it a brilliant retro trip? Or a deliberate attempt to cash in on a fabled storyline with a nasty cheapo production? Sadly, despite a stern case for the defence by Lewis Stringer, I believe it's a rip-off.

There are a number of other reviews on there that basically say what I thought - for the price (for a book on blotting paper), they're having a laugh!

I've seen them and want to read the stories, but I feel that they will put out paperback versions sometime. I've seen too many people say that these are really good too often. I want to read them, but I am not going to buy a hardcover.
