Michigans own Mototr City Comic Con started this afternoon and is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Batman tv series. The surviving members of the show will be present as will Johnny and the Greenmen, the Bat computer and assorted vehicles.
This will be my first convention and i'll be taking my daughter. She's dying to see a "real" movie star.:p Oh to be young again.
Oh yeah the guests of honor this year are artisits by the name of Jim Steranko and George Perez. No...im not excited btw. |

My first convention surpassed my wildest dreams.::yellowsmile::
My daughter was treated great by the guests and fans alike. George Perez was a gracious and pleasent man to meet and speak with.
Items he discussed...He's busy at work on the new Brave and the Bold series. WW was one of his proudest accomplishments. IC #7 took just 3 days due to a hurried deadline.
Also the 40th anniversary of The Batman show was great. Adam West and fellow castmates were just great. I think ive been bit by the convention bug. |

I must shamefully say that I had my point n click but forgot my digital::yellowupset:: I'll see if I can get some scanned. I think the convention was overrun by Storm troopers tho.:p |

Shes just a couple of weeks from being 8. Time to train them young you know.:p Im glad she had fun as well. Theres some interesting articles on www.newsarama.com about the conventions and a good article with George. |

cons are so much fun! i've been to a few, not major ones though. did you actually meet adam west?

Almost...LOL !! My daughter was a trooper as long as she could be. We were about 8 feet from him so that was good enough. She did get fustrated later that she didnt stay in line longer when she found out that Adam did some voice work on Fairly Oddparents on Nickelodeon. One of her favorite cartoons !!:lol: |
