From the Panel:
Levitz said,
DC is looking to do a series of titles that will tell the character bits and stories that were important to fans, and will be working with the comic book creators on them. The first title will be the previously-leaked animated film version of Darwyn Cooke's The New Frontier. Cooke will work with Stan (JLU) Berkowitz on the film, with Cooke providing key art direction.
Another title in the series, Levitz continued, will be Superman/Doomsday, which will take the "essence" of the Superman/Doomsday story - and will be directed by Bruce Timm and written by Duane Capizzi, who's currently working on The Batman animated series.
The third title in the series will be an animated version of the classic story Teen Titans story ?The Judas Contract?, written by Marv Wolfman. Tom DeStano (X-Men) will join Wolfman as co-writer and producer on the film.

It won't be like the animated show. It'll look like the comics.

That is really odd that they are doing the same story with a different animated style. Maybe they will throw in that whole Dick quits being Robin and becomes Nightwing thing.
That could be a decent fill in for the gap between Batman: TAS and New Batman Adventures. Of course they already did a comic story of that too. The Lost Years, I think.

But it won't be connected to the show nor any universe that exists today.

I understand that, but they are still animating a story that has already been put out as a cartoon. I just thought it was odd.
I wonder how much of the story will get directly adapted since "The Judas Contract" starts with a team that has been together for a while that is composed of chracters that are not widely known. It could disorient people who have not read the comic.
Edit: NEWSARAMA has an interview with Marv Wolfman regarding the adaption of "The Judas Contract." It sounds like it will be significantly more adult than the Teen Titans cartoon ever could have been. He even plans to include the cigarette and nightgown scene. That alone will probably bump this up to a PG-13 rating. Makes it reasonable to assume that the Superman/Doomsday cartoon will be just a graphic as the comic was.

Will the New Frontier movie have the same animation style as JLU?
The Teen Titans movie sounds pretty cool I guess, as long as it's not like the cartoon series...
The Superman/Doomsday movie is the most interesting to me, I can't wait to see pictures.

I doubt they'll use the JLU style. Its Golden Age superheroes so think BTAS.

IGN has their wishlist for the stories that they want to see made into faithful cartoon adaptations. It is a pretty good list of stories that would make great cartoons, especially Kingdom Come and Dark Knight.
