DC SUPERFRIENDS:
http://i.toynewsi.com/g/index.php?mode=album&album=2007_Toy_Fair%2FMattel%2FSuper_Friends
These are about 6 Inches tall, and so far, the best out of all the DC items by Mattel. The Batmobile is the best!

Not even a new villian! Though the Batmobile Tansformer is a long time coming...

We've already seen these designs, but keep watching there may be something new in a while...

That's the big thing toy companies are doing; action figures for toddlers.
Hasbro does it for Star Wars and Marvel, and Toy-Bize used to for Marvel, Mattel's just entering a little late.

Here's Action-Figure's Toyfair gallery.

And look at the Lego Batman section, there realesing a new DKR style figure, with Dark Blue, instead of Black, and a new Bat emblem.

Noticed deep in The Batman stuff:
So, it looks like a Pagani Zonda based Batmobile.
I wonder if the production version will have 2 seats?
If so, I'll HAVE to get one!
Sum Nox!

That's some pretty cool stuff. The DC Superheroes Man-Bat is pretty cool, but no one has ever seemed to be able to top the Legends of the Dark Knight figure. That one is huge and even has little details like the name badge on the torn lab coat with writing on it.
What is the Battle League stuff? They look pretty cool, but aren't they ust another Attacktix or Heroclix (granted the sculpts are significantly better than the Heroclix ones).
CLICK HERE to go to Action Figure Insider's coverage. They have pictures of the DC Superheroes Clayface and a couple of other Superman figures. Pretty cool stuff.

For once, I can say that I really like a Clayface design - very cool! The BattleLeague figures look interesting, too...any idea what size/scale they are?

Actually.. look at the series of pics again. That Batmobile turns into a Batbot of sorts. A real Batmobile Trandsformer. There is also a Batwing version.

The Batmobile-bot thing isnt bad in straight Batmobile from, I may pick it up depending on price.
aside from a couple cool figs, Im really disappointed in the offerings from Mattel. The coolest new thing is a pre school line. :/ |

Sorry about the double take. Clayface!!! BOOYAH!!!
Clayface and Man-Bat? Somehow they're willing to do large, complicated figures: but you ask for a resculpt of a psychotic clown in a tux and your going to damn far.
Still... Two-face, Catwoman, Man-Bat and Clayface, plus two Batgirls; I'm kind of willing to forgive them.

Are there any release dates for the Battlegear, Super-Friends or JLU figures? Also, is there a reason for the black and red "S" on the DCSH Superman vs. the yellow and red? When I saw this in the stores, I thought that it was a paint error, but I've actually seen this displayed here a couple of times, making me thing it's not an error but a variant of some kind. My local stores have both emblems on the shelves. Anybody have an answer to this? |

It?s a variant figure. I?m not sure, but I think the black ?S? was a design change (in the comic books) after he was brought back to life after Doomsday killed him. The red and yellow "S" is the normal one. I?ve seen it (black S) in comic books. I also saw an upcoming DC Direct figure with the black ?S? called ?Future Superman?.

Thanks for the response, FlaBAT. I wasn't sure whether to pick up the black and red version as a variant or if it was just an error. I just began collecting a year or so again after a long hiatus from Super-Hero fandom. I'm not up to speed with all of the DC mythology of recent years. If anybody else has any insight into the "S" color question, I'd appreciate the info. |

Actually, the Balc S was from the World's At War story line. It was for all those that lost thier lives.
