That looks fantastic - which I guess it needs to; if we're all going to buy loads of stuff (again) that we've already got!

This is great. I was planning to get all the movies on DVD eventually anyway. My only concern is that it looks like the set may have slipcases for the movies instead of individual cases like the Batman collection had.
I would prefer to be able to independently display them so that I don't have to dig through the box set. Maybe more images will become available as time goes by, or I can make my own cases.

DarkKnight I'm amazed!
Your Superman knowledge seems like it's postively without rival (although Drunken Fist would give you a run for yer money!) - but I can't believe you haven't got the DVDs already!

I have the tapes for II, III, and IV. I bought the Special Edition DVD with the theatrical and extended cuts of the first one when it came out a few years ago, but I only bought the VHS of the others because they were like $3 each. I figured that a better version would come out eventually, and sure enough here we are. Besides, I really hate the flapper cases that the movies used to come in.

I'm just reading the contents of this (as listed by Kal-EL) and this is fantastic. The list of stuff they've got in this one set is mouthwatering.
I'll be particularly interested to see if the Flesicher cartoons (apparently "remastered from better vault copies" ) are any better than the ones currently on the market; if they're better than Bosko's disc I'll be very happy!
There's so much other stuff on there as well though.
& added to fact that George Reeves version is finally on DVD - This is definitely Superman's year.
Very very pleased from the Shadow of St Albans Abbey.

Sounds pretty cool. If they're thinking of making a follow up to Superman Returns, I'd almost think they'd leave that one out of this set and just let the Reeve films be amongst each other. I have yet to see Superman III or IV, so I'm not planning on getting this set for the time being. I might just get the Returns Special Edition by itself and possibly Special Editions of Superman I and II if I find 'em cheap. But I'm pretty mixed on those early films as it is, with their blatant plot holes and silliness. Glad to see this mega DVD set coming out though regardless.
Funny. It says I've got 1,000 posts, but my profile says I have 1,131... Oh well.
Celebration!~ ~ ~ ~
