Variety is reporting that Justice League is back at high priority at WB. With the scribes Kieran and Michele Mulroney going back and re-writing their script, and with the previous cast ready to go into shooting.
This is odd because WB reportedly let the cast options expire when the movie went on indeffinite hold.

First they are coming out with an Aquaman movie and a Green Lantern movie and I hope JLA comes out before Avengers or it will look like DC is copying Marvel when it is the other way around.

I hope justice league is a good movie, so people are more willing to come see the other batman films. But maby this movie shouldn't come out this soon |

I hope Mike Bay doesnt do it, I saw his TDK script and he gets into Joker and Batman togather to fast so imagine if he did that with 7 or 6 superheroes at once!!! Anti-Bay on JLA!
Hes good on other stuff but just he wouldnt be good on this, he would be great for The Avengers though.

that script wasn't real. it was a joke by a fan that mocks Michael Bay's style. Believe me, TDK was always being written by Goyer and the brothers Nolan.

how do you become a "dark knight" instead of a gotham citizen. I hated superman returns and hope singer doesnt return. if there is a jla movie coming soon I'd say it will be crap. unless they get someone like Steven Speilberg in, he's good with team movies. |

I imagine you have to post a bazillion times (What? Bazillion's a word.). Actually I like being a Gotham Citizen - count yourself lucky you're not 'So Impotent' which is how you start out on the Watchmen Movie site.
I can't imagine a JL movie working, not right now anyway. So much of the comic assumes our familiarity with the characters to begin with, and most people aren't familiar with any of the Lanterns or Flashes even, let alone J'onn J'onzz.
Unlike the X-Men, the causes of their various powers are unconnected, so heaps of work explaining everyone's origins then building sympathetic convincing principle characters from scratch.
Although I guess they could work a 'meta-gene' concept into it to link some of it together, that might help with the disbelief-suspension. Possibly a bit too X-Men though.
I think they'd have to go the Marvel route and give them all they're own movies first.
No Batman though! Or at least a very-clearly-different-to-the-Nolan-continuity-Batman which would be pretty awkward to pull off.
This guy goes into the hospital, okay?...
His wife's just had a baby and he can't wait to see them both.
So he meets the doctor and he says, "Oh, Doc, I've been so worried. How are they?"
And the Doctor smiles and says, "They're fine, just fine. Your wife's delivered a healthy baby boy and they're both in tip-top form.
"You're one lucky guy."
So the guy rushes into the maternity ward with his flowers.
But it's empty.
His wife's bed is empty.
"Doc?" he says and turns around and the doctor and all the nurses wave their arms and scream in his face.
"APRIL FOOL! YOU'RE WIFE'S DEAD AND THE BABY'S A SPASTIC!!"

I think that a JLA movie would work even with the current Batman. However I don't think it should be coming out for some time. I think WB needs to release individual character movies and establish their stories like Flash and GL, etc. and they definatley need to reboot the superman movie because returns to be quite frank sucked. I think that Batman could blend nicely with a JLA movie if they make the other characters in darker more realistic way like Batman, but they can't make them too much like Batmn because for some colorful heroes that just wouldn't work

They shouldn't do the 'realistic' approach, but they should do the 'sober serious' approach. Infact, I'd really like to see the Crisis saga adapted into a film trilogy. I reckon it'd defo work, coz there's action, mystery, and drama. Then they'd have a legit reason for having Batman in there, coz if it was a straight action film, Batman wouldn't have much use around a loada superheroes. He may be a great fighter, but up against aliens n ish, he's a better as a detective and strategist, and when it comes to it, stealth action. Especially in a film.

They're the words of a Batman fanboy. Sure, it works in comics, but it would never work in a film. Batman vs Alien wouldn't work in a fistfight. Batman vs Robot Army would only work if he was lurking in the shadows, and had to work his way from one end of the room to the other in order to shut them down. But in plain and simple combat? Batman couldn't win. Not in a film. Besides, Batman being human would add an element of danger and vulnerability.
