Since Dick Grayson has no cape, he has to move his body around more freely but still needs armor. I would say his costume would be the same material as The Dark Knight. Its more clothy but there's still a good amount of protection.
That or it would be the same uniform Raiden had in Metal Gear Solid 2. Tight fitting but allows the wearer full flexibility. |

Whatever they put Nightwing in, I assume it's going to be made to match JL Batman and not TDK Batman.

Ya probably, i know it isnt very realsitc but im hoping batman has his comic attire, thats the thing me and my friend dont really like about comic movies is them trying too be too realstic, theyre comic books, people with powers, it isnt very realistic to begin with IMO, exept for batman but even that applies, like i guess thats why lots of people ar ed that his costume is still all black armour and i kind of agree. It is a comic book after all, feel free to disagree, but this is my opinion. Same as X-Men, since when do you see a guy with claws coming from his hands? it isnt very realstic and im getting annoyed that comic movie directors etc want to make them so realistic, at least it suits batman though.

Comics and movies are two completely different mediums. What you see on one thing might not be so easy to translate onto the other. Every person who tells a Batman story is telling their own version of how they think the character is like. You also want to appeal to the general audience not just fanboys so the studios probably think its best to portray it in a "heightened realism." We've seen what happens when a director has taken the comics aspect literally and we got Batman & Robin.
I consider myself a fanboy with a open mind to interpretation. I've learned its better to be that way and enjoy the movie rather then spend two hours thinking "That's ugly" or "That didn't happen in the comic book!" |

And somethimes the realistic aspects are for the better.
A few nights ago PBS was playing a musical with Hugh Jackman in it, and for some reason every time they showed a character upstage of him the camera had Hugh's crotch in frame... And I thought "I'm glad I didn't have to go through this in the movies". Now if they had wolvie in spandex, I would have had to endure his crotch through the whole film.

i guess their costumes are more realistic, but in the end, the movies arent very much realistic compared to the comics...i personally think the begins batman is more unrealistic than the comic batman. on his 1st week as batman, he took out like 10 thugs all at once..and they were all armed. i mean the batman in the comics gets his butt kicked from time to time.
i guess the main thing that makes the comic more unrealistic are the villians and time travel. i think cloning is possible. if they really wanted to make superboy in the superman movies, they could probably clone routh..lol.

lol ok the cloning is a...weird idea lol
but ya, i know they want to relate to the general audiance, but i think it would be nice to see more comic booky stuff ya know, well maybe that will happen with the JLA movie being all CG and stuff

oh definitely...especially cuz it's teen titans. i think it should even be more unrealistic than the x-men movies.
i wanna see cyborg shoot some crazy blue sonic booms while nightwing does kung fu-like flips and throwing batarangs at the same time...beastboy will be very cool to watch as well.
if they treat teen titans like a kung fu movie with over stylized fights, i'll be very pleased.

u guys got way off topic... i dont want to see a teen titans movie anyway...ppl would view it as an x-men or justice leuge knock-off movie and it wouldint be right without a movie that shows them off with there respective mentoer anyway

Actually, Robin in B&R was technically the movie depiction of Nightwing (He proudly declared that as his name in the first scene, I believe)
So this will be the first good Nightwing depiction (hopefully).

yeah, he was still robin. if schumacher was given a chance to make another horrid movie, then we might have seen nightwing, but i think it's safe to say we've never seen nightwing on screen.

lol, that's right the line about Nightwing was cut from the movie. In the script Batman asks him about the new costume to which he replies "I'm Nightwing" then he says something really campy.
Anyway the point is that Schumacher's view on Nightwing is that he's interchangable with Robin. So while they still called him Robin, that was Schumacher's depiction of Nightwing (even if he's a joke to us fans)
