Raz, that sounds like what people thought about Kato from the Green Hornet;

According to Wikipedia when the radio show began in 1936 he was Japanese that was until 1939 when his nationality wasn't mentioned...that was until 1941 when he was said to be Filipino, most believe the change was because of Pearl Harbor, but it wasn't (so they say I however believe the Pearl Harbor story)...on top of that in the first of the two movie serials that were done by Universal Studios Kato is said to be Korean...so Atom IV isn't in bad company.

I would too TM, but would the people reading comics today that grew up with the heroes (and their seret identities), know who the original person was that wore the costume; Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman not withstanding being that these characters have had the same secret identities throughout their history.

MY IDEAS

Make a prequel entitled "Justice: Origins" where all the heroes somehow get involved with eachother at the very start of their carrers.

The series name would either be "Justice" or "League".

Villains for prequel: Lex Luthor, bits of Joker (edited Heath scenes), and somebody else but only bits of them, give me ideas...

Heroes for prequel:

Superman (Clark Kent; doesn't dress up as Superman often though at this point of his life as a superhero) - Smallville Season 9 personality

Bruce Wayne (only seen as Bruce Wayne really, and bits of Batman along the way as he gives some help to Oliver Queen in secret) - Nolanverse

Green Arrow (Oliver Queen, CEO of Queen Industry and brings togather Clark, Bart, and Hal on his mission of justice, this wouldn't be like Smallville) - Smallville personality

Flash (Bart Allen, a 24-year-old who ran away from home at the age of 16 looking for a reason he should keep going on, later he found it...) - Smallville personality

Hal Jordan (he doesn't make a scene as Green Lantern till near the ending, other than that, he's just an old friend of Oliver's from the military helping out with piloting a US Military jet) - personality of The Batman/suit of First Flight

John Jones (not really known as Martian Manhutner, he is a detective in Metropolis giving aid to Clark Kent and Oliver Queen) - The Batman/New Frontier for personalities and ideal face and the suit of the new Crisis DTV

Diana Prince (only goes by Diana, wouldn't wear that suit since it's pretty dumb for a woman with high self esteem to wear of all people, plus it's the US flag, I don't see how they would know about the US??, she would wear casual clothes, live in Metropolis, wear black clothes in a mission, and her origin is very vague, she doesn't even know who she really is, everything before Metropolis is a blur to her) - personality of Justice League: TAS

CAST

Clark - Tom Welling
Bruce - Christian Bale
Oliver - Chris Evans
Bart - Kyle Gallner
Hal - Ryan Reynolds
John - Joseph Fiennes
Diana - Bryce Dallas Howard

I think you don't understand the phrase "high self-esteem". High self-esteem means you are confident with yourself, and being confident with your body can be an extension of that.

Back in Greek/Roman times it was common place for men to fight basically naked. Why would a feminist feel she has to hide her body when men can display it? She spent her entire life on an island filled with nothing but women, why would she be taught that her body is a bad thing that needs to be hidden from sight?

And I fail to see how Wonder Woman can have the personality of JL/JLU if she has amnesia. That's like saying it's the Batman from the Nolanverse except he has amnesia. How could he be Batman from the Nolan verse if he doesn't remember his parent's death or his fear of bats?

The only problem with doing a prequel type movie is it would be nothing more than a live action 'Justice League: New Frontiers'. You could try something that's in the news at this time in history (Except the war in Iraq because of racism), maybe have them go after a corrupt banker that's messing with the world's economy or maybe some sort of new version of the NAZI party or Hard line Communists that are trying to spread their message once more around the world.

My cast would be:
Tom Welling-Superman
Christian Bale-Batman
Ryan Reynolds-Green Lantern
Justin Hartley-Green Arrow
Chris Evans-Flash
Charlize Theron-Wonder Woman
Olivia Wilde-Black Canary
Aaron Ashmore-Atom (Ray Palmer if indeed this is a Origin story)

@Razhwurz - She is confident about herself, so why would she need to expose herself so much??? The only reason somebody like her would want to wear a suit as revealing as that is to feel confident about themself... And the other reason she wouldn't wear it is because... Well, how on earth would somebody isolated from civilization know exactly what our flag looks like?

@Buckeye Bat - Aaron as Atom sounds good.

Because there is no need to. To her the female body isn't a sexual object. In Greek times, the male body generally wasn't a sign of sexuality, but a sign of masculine power. If a woman grew up in a nation consisting entirely of women, and that nation was based on Greek customs, then similarly the female body wouldn't be a sign os sexuality, it would be a sign of power.

And again, look at old Greek armor and clothing. People walked around pretty darn close to naked back then. I don't see why she would dress to cover herself up from men when she really doesn't give a damn what they think.

I see what your saying but I thought the Amazons had some sort of special abilities; flight, super strength, etc. Meaning, they wouldn't need to show each other their power if they all had the same power...

Plus, I don't want a superhero in a bathing suit on the big screen... It ruins DC for me.

Ok, I see what you mean. Bikini's are a big scren no-no

My thoughts were they'd take the classic "bathing suit" and incorporate more armour like elements into it. I always imagined the gold "WW/eagle" logo as a metal breastplate, then the belt would be armour as well, that would go over a red leather corset/bustier, and then instead of panties she'd have the skirt-ish thing from Kingdom Come. They could also incorporate shoulder armour like the eagle armour from the end of Kingdom Come.

@ Raz:- No. The Apple Juice I am drinking is "Minute Maid Apple Juice" made from Concentrate and has add ingredients. On the back it says it has 32g Sugar.

And I shouldn't really be drinking apple juice at 1O'Oclock at night either.

ANYWAY...

Why are we worried about almost naked woman in the DC Universe?

Go talk to the DOZEN of other woman in the comic books like:

- Poison Ivy
- Black Canary
- Super Girl
- Power Girl
- Huntress
- Zantanna

...Etc. Wonder woman isn't the only female who is dressed half naked you know.

And that is sexist btw....!!!

If I wanted to see Penguin half naked THAT'S NOT ALRIGHT!

But if every guy on creation wanted to see Super Girl or whoever half naked THAT'S OKAY!!

Who in the heck are in charge of the comic books?!

JEEZ!!!

It is kinda unfair that there are more naked women in comics then men. But then again comic books are mostly written by men. So it's not exactly suprising.

There are still plenty of half-naked men in comic books, though. Remember when Aquaman went through the whole shirtless phase? And of course Martian Manhunter wore blue tighty-whities for 60+ years. Then you've got the Sub-Mariner. The Thing. The Hulk. Conan the Barbarian. Wolverine, while not naked in uniform, has a tendancy to randomly take his clothes off and run around with everything hanging out. And of course Robin spent 50+ years in underoos and tights.

I'll give you four of those Raz, I can see women going gaga over Aquaman, Sub-Mariner, Conan and Wolverine...however I do have reservations about the others and here's why

The Thing: Made of Rock
Martian Manhunter: Green and alien
Hulk: Only shirtless when angry and out of control and Green
Robin: Too young and that just seems wrong in so many ways.

It's only because of society in how corrupt they have become, for example; look at the new update!! It's crazy!!!! It's really just desperate guys trying to get something they'll never have...

And I bet you wouldn't have thought anyone would want to see Penguin in a speedo if you didn't know Erin lol

And RBB, I really don't think drawing women half naked is "corrupt." In fact, all the greatest artists of ALL time have drawn nudes. The human body is a beautiful thing.

When you look at comic books, it's really all about figure drawing. Even if characters are covered from head to toe with clothes,--like say Flash, Batman and Spider-man are-- it's really just a drawing of a naked guy with a mask and no genitalia. Same goes with women.

As for "Batman XXX", that's disgusting... But not so suprising.
