Coming off the heels of the latest Flash movie news, th ehopes for a Green Lantern movie is now on the rise as a new director is taking over, says Variety.
According to Variety; Warner Bros has set Greg Berlanti to direct the film, as well as writing the script with Marc Guggenheim (vateran writer for TV shows, and writer for Flash: Fastest Man Alive #7-12 and upcoming writer for Amazing Spider-Man) and Michael Green. Donald De Line will produce with Andrew Haas as executive producer.
Berlanti hopes to make the jump to big-budget fantasy fare after serving as writer and exec producer on character-driven TV series "Dirty Sexy Money," "Brothers & Sisters," "Everwood," "Jack & Bobby" and "Dawson's Creek." He previously directed 2000 feature "The Broken Hearts Club."
