Warner Brothers has just announced that Green Lantern will be hitting theaters in December of 2010. This is great news and hopefully the first of many regarding DC properties!

Oh, got confused which GL thread I was on. DC is really trying to help out GL. They just need to bring back the original, Golden Age Hal Jordan and add a military feel, get Mike Bay as the director and the film would be perfect. I would like to see the main character from the show Worst Week on CBS to play GL or I want to see this one guy I saw in a JLA teaser fan done, I think it was David Boreanaz, he also was the voice of GL in New Frontier. Or a better choice would be Sam Worthington!!! He looks exactly like Hal Jordan!

Well.. first, you need to learn your DC history, the GOLDEN AGE Green Lantern is Allan Scott.

I don't know much about Green Lantern but I'm pretty excited about this movie. He seems like a really cool character.

Green Lantern is a cool character. One thing I like about it is the fact that it's comic plus sci-fi. Two of my favorite settings!

I know, Alan is spelled with one "L" though. I just call him Golden Age for some reason. . . Just seems like he was created then. I really like my last choice of actor to play Hal Jordan.

cool! december for a super hero movie though? interesting...
i hope he gets an armor-like suit like he does in mortal kombat vs dc universe.
i hope hal gets to be funny. due to the dark knight successes, i'm scared WB might want all of their heroes to be dark. the only thing i'd want from dark knight in green lantern is probably the armored suit look.

Yeah i know December doesn't seem right for a super hero movie but the movies that came out this year in december had great box office sucess so maybe it'll work... Also, I am probably going to sound stupid when I day this but is DC doing this to work thier way up to a live action JLA movie?
