Sounds like a decent price, then again Season 1 was just a handful of episodes from what I remember. This probably won't be at the top of my Wish List, but I'll probably get it eventually.

We don't know yet. I'm not sure "Clash" was in the first season anyway, although I could be wrong.

We'll get JL before we get JLU

I thought they wouldn't do that because they just released two DVDs (for both TB and JLU) and if they're planning a box set already, then making those two DVDs seem to be a waste.

Clash is technically in the 4th season of JL/JLU. We got a way to go. Not me though. hehe.

That's good news. Twenty bucks sounds right, I think they only had about 12 or 13 episodes in the first season.

Yeah, that's true, but companies pull that crap all the time. Like how bands will put out a new album, then a few months later release it with a bonus track or two. I kinda saw this coming so I was really hesitant to buy the original The Batman release. They know a lot of big fans who already bought it will get this anyway, even if it is idiotic.

I'm thinking some character concept sketches, storyboards and a documentary on their approach on this new take. Should be neat. Unless they split some stuff up evenly throughough all the Season releases, I think it's hard to imagine the next ones having much for Features compared with Season 1. Then again maybe the BTAS sets all had a lot of good stuff, I don't even own them yet.

No features yet.. I'll keep you all updated of course!

Nate.. if you think back when the Box sets for TAS started, we already had Vol. 1 and then we got a single disc.

WB does it to try to promote.

Don't own them? Well let me tell you what they have:

BTAS VOL. 1 DVD:

Dark Knight's First Night - which was the short pilot for the show. History behind it like how Bruce Timm, from working on Tiny Toons, got the job and how they managed to create their animated techniques for the show.

Batman: The Legacy Continues - THE featurette on the show from how they got the voice actors like Conroy to how they were shocked at the impact.

Commentary on 2 episodes:
On Leather Wings
Heart of Ice

Tour of the Batcave - bios

BTAS VOL. 2:

Robin Rising - How they got Robin and handled him throughout the show. Includes insight on Tim Drake and why they didn't have Jason Todd in it.

Gotham Guardians - the supporting cast like Bullock and Gordon for example.

Voices of the Knight - On the voice actors

4 Commentarys:
Robin's Reckoning Part 1
Heart of Steel Part 2
Almost Got 'em
Harley & Ivy

BTAS VOL. 3:

Gotham's New Knight: Batgirl: Batman's Newest Ally in his War on Crime - Basically behind Batgirl

3 Commentarys:
Read my Lips
House & Garden (Video Commentary)
Harlequinade

BTAS VOL. 4: (which is the TNBA episodes)

So the features are:

Arkham's Finest: Inside Batman's Rogues Gallery

2 Commentarys:
Over the Edge
Legends of the Dark Knight

Vol. 4 will be released Dec. 6th

This page has a un-thumbnailed, small pic of the cover.

PHEW, glad I waited to pick up Teen Titans and The Batman. I had a feeling that season sets were going to come, and my patience has paid off.

I definately hope they get Justice League and Justice League Unlimited season sets (and maybe....I dunno....Superman....Static.....Zeta....Batman Beyond......just that whole universe) IMHO, JLU is one of the best animated shows ever, and I always get so confused about how the series is treated. Whenever there's new Justice League stuff, it tends to get pushed to the side like "oh and in case you were wondering we got some new JLU coming at some point......"

The series just gets teated so oddly, on tv, in press, merchandise, everything!

From the features, it seems just a rehash of the other DVDs of TB.

DC Comics Kids Collection eh? Makes me feel real macho when I go to check them out. "Big Chill Challenge" and "Create Your Own Villain" sound interesting, but might turn out to be a disappointment.
