ooh..the new bat-bot looks nice!
i wonder how they're gonna approach this fight. i'm assuming batman wins since it's a batman show, but i wonder how. it looks like he doesnt have any kryptonite on him.
it would be VERY cool if superman gives batman a kryptonite ring at the end of the episode just incase something like this happens again.

502 - THE BATMAN/SUPERMAN STORY PART 2
PLOT:
Part 2 of “The Batman/Superman Story” finds Superman under the control of Lex Luthor, courtesy of Poison Ivy's hypnotic spores. Batman and Robin must free Superman from his trance and halt Luthor's diabolical plans.
REVIEW:
Part 1 was great; Superman, Lex Luthor, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, all meeting with Batman & Robin in this season. I liked this version of Superman for The Batman; the changes they made to him really fit the show’s universe. The choice to have George Newburn, Dana Delany, and Clancy Brown return to reprise their roles from Superman: The Animated Series and Justice League/Unlimited from the DCAU was probably a good choice because even their DCAU voices fit their TB counterparts. The episode really seemed like a Superman episode, which is sorta the truth in team-ups: it’s always someone’s story with the other being the co-star. But with what happened at the end of part 1, it will probably make the switch from Superman’s story in part 1 to Batman’s for part 2. With all that said and done, here is part 2.
Batman is concerned over Superman, as he has not sent Luthor to prison. From Luthor’s Gotham located Lexcorp to the Batcave (under Gotham), Batman finds out that Ivy was in Luthor’s office and he and Robin go to Metropolis. Sneaking inside the Metropolis Lexcorp, Batman finds Luthor and Mercy and an army of robots and Ivy being hold by Clayface in the next room. Once he is defeated, Luthor spots him and appears with Superman under his control. Luthor says his plan is make sure the alien invasion that happened in “The Joining” doesn’t happen again with the help of aliens, only humans with the help of robots. Luthor orders Superman to attack Batman, where the fight goes from inside to outside to the skies to the second Batcave to the sewers.
I guess no matter if Superman is aloof and not Batman, Batman is the aloof and not Superman, or if Superman and Batman are friends that many who still ask that question “How would win in a fight: Superman or Batman?” That’s a question I hate because, sure they’re at odds, but that doesn’t mean they should fight because they should. That’s wrong. The only exceptions to this are this episode, Hush (which this is based on), and The Dark Knight Returns, all because their stories make sense for them to fight; subtle and not forced. Those are the exceptions that work.
The fight here is a combination of Hush and DKR. Like Hush, their fight occurs around the city, but like DKR, the cameras and news broadcasters watch on. Batman, while in this reversal of his post-Crisis counterpart, still has one of it when it is revealed he never gave Superman the kryptonite from part 1. It was a fake and he had the real one. The fight in the city is like DKR but turned to a 3, or a 5, maybe a 7. Depends on your view. But the fight was handled well, the action was well done as well as the animation that came with it. With a fight that lasts for the first two acts, I think they did a good job.
Overall, I enjoyed this episode as much as part 1. The animation was top notch, the characters were very good, and even though I hate that question on a Batman vs. Superman fight, the fight in this episode that lasted from Act One to Act Two was this episode’s highlight. Doesn’t mean they should realty fight though. The Hall of Justice returns at the end and in relation to part 1, Superman joins the Justice League! Next up in our team-up list: Green Arrow!

Great, but sort of anti-climatic.
Batman and Robin do a good job containing Superman with bits of Kryptonite while Lex launches his planet patrolling robots? Lame plot for Luthor, he usually has better diabolical plans than that. I really like the fact that most of the voice overs with bought over from the Timm/Dini Superman Series. I hate "The Batman's" Poison Ivy, so I didn't mind not hearing her or seeing much of her in action...just her usefulness in the plot.
Superman apparent joining of the Justice League was expected, sorta taking Batman's negative "Q" from the Timm/Dini series...I guess they traded places.
I rate this one: 8.4/10
Ok, could've been better.

It was a great episode. Loved the new Batbot and how Supes ripped it to shreds, and it also had some of the storyline of HUSH. Posion Ivy controls Supes to fight Bats ect. plus in the next episode, Green Arrow JUST like in HUSH also. So i cant wait!

green arrow was in hush? don't recall him being in it.
anyways..i really liked this episode. the cooperation between batman and robin was so perfect. i like that batman gained a slight sense of humor because of robin. "you get a raise." haha. and i also like that batman gained superman's trust and kept the kryptonite.
i give it 10/10. it was a good way to introduce superman into this universe.
as for green arrow; i hope he's as funny as he was in JLU.

I thought The Episode, was Awesome, I really did like it, I really did like The Fight Between Batman, And Superman, and I also thought it was great The Way Batman cured Superman, of The Mind Control, My Favorite Scene in The Episode, is when Superman is Talking to Batman about The Justice League, I can't wait to see Next Week's Episode, with Green Arrow on it, it is going to be a great Season. |

haha, but i agree. i think green arrow will be one of the best since he's so similar to batman. i wonder if speedy will be mentioned. maybe green arrow will say something like "oh, so you have one too?" when he sees robin. haha.

I really enjoyed this episode. These two parts are probably the first episodes of the Batman that I've actually liked, granted I haven't watched for a couple of seasons.
The League satellite at the end was really cool. They basically took the old Hall of Justice and put it up in space. I guess it was built on an asteroid, which is odd.
