I am lookin to finally watch "The Batman" series and am planning on just buying up all 5 seasons on Amazon since they are about 10.50 a piece..... my question though they have a movie called, which im sure you already know. The Batman vs. Dracula. Before I purchase all 5 dvds is this movie included in any of the seasons?
This is my first post I am a new member to these boards and this site I found it while searching on the supermanhomepage.com I am a huge superman fan and well as a superman fan you cant help be be interested in batman as well. However I have asked a lot of questions on the supermanhomepage message boards concerning batman and not very many people know much there. So if in the next few weeks you see a lot of posts started by me.... I'm not tryin to get my post numbers up or spam the boards its just some questions I have had and never really had answered....anyways thanks for anyhelp in advanced. |

First, Welcome!
The Batman Vs. Dracula is not included in the season sets. It is however a great movie and ranks pretty high among some fans.

I believe it's either set between 1-2 or 2-3

The thing with DTV, they really aren't set in any time line. It would have to take place sometime either during or after Season 1 because of the cast.

You guys should just look at Google and see what date Season 1, 2, and 3 came out and when THE BATMAN VS DRACULA came out.

Why would you do a Google search when all the dates are on the site?
October, 2005 is when TBVD came out. But again, that doesn't mean anything as far as timelines go..

Yeah that's sort of like when they produce 3 or 4 episodes at one time but show the 4th one produced before the 3rd

Exactly, DTVs take a while longer to produce than the regular episodes. Even if it came out in Season 2, it may well have been written in Season 1

I just finished the entire series including batman vs. dracula... it was def worth the price Ill be watching these a lot especially those justice league team eps and the first season. I thought I would hate the joker cause they changed his look but he was my favorite rogue in this series. I just wish they would have ditched the whole tux and tails suit and went with the initial joker costume from the first episode. I think the straight jacket painted up to be jokerized worked better with this style joker but they seemed to feel a need to go back to that old out fit. Batgirl in this series is my favorite version of batgirl when it comes to the animated versions of her... I like her she is funny quick witted etc. Robin reminds me of the tim drake version of robin on TAS which i liked better then the Dick Grayson version of robin on that series. I personally like a younger robin with batman cause it looks and feels more like a father figure rather then brothers.
The guest starring voices were awesome... The ones i picked up that i can remember are Kevin Conroy, Brandon Routh, Tim Daly, Adam West, The lois and the lex from the animated series..cant think of their names at the moment. Anyways I wish Routh would have waited one season haha he could have been the voice for superman since the clark was obviously modeled off of him.
What i really loved most about the season was how much they played homage to the 66 live action version of batman. His symbol was the same as adam wests. The cowl shaped more like wests witht he short ears and the rounded head. Batgirls uniform was a direct take on batgirl in 66 batman sans the sparkly fabric. the poles to slide up and down the head that hides the button to get into the cave from his office just all those little things.. the end road sign that falls open as he races out of the cave int he batmobile. even the song in the 3rd season sounded liked 66 batman. I loved it was nice.
One more thing I can't remember what episode it was Im thinking it was Clayfaces. But did nyone notice the diner scene where one of the customers at the counter in the diner looked awfully similar to Clark Kent in Superman II from the diner scene in that movie. "I believe you're in my seat" anyone remember that? anyways the guy looked spot on chris reeve haha..
anyways i have to say i love this series just as much as i do tas just a great series. |

You missed mark hammil and the guy who voiced batman beyond (cant think of his name)
I agree with you on the batgirl thing. And I really liked her costume too.
Its just as good as tas if you ask me, just in a different way |

who did mark hammil play and the guy who was batman beyond?... dang i didnt even recognize hammil anyways yea thats what i think, it's equally as good as TAS just in a different way. It's the reason why i like Smalliville as much as it's different then the traditional superman stories...its also neat to see how a different interpretation looks. Like killer croc to me is awesome I love how he is from new orleans.. not being a huge batman fan i dont know his traditional origin but having that creole voice just works perfect. |

Mark Hammil not only played the Joker in TAS, BUT he also played Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars movies.
