i saw it earlier last week, just didn't want to make anyone jealous. but i'm assuming others have seen it as well..it was GOOD! a lot better than what i had expected, and even my friends(non comic book fans) liked it.

and batman's voice was perfect (as i mentioned before). jeremy sisto did a very good job. it had a 1950's feel to it, and more importantly, it was intimidating but calm; the way it should be. as much as i liked batman's yelling in batman begins -- the calm, seriousness and complete certainty that he had in his voice in new frontier was even scarier.

after watching the movie, i really felt that there was no character that did not have to be there. every one had a role; big or small...the last battle could not have panned out well if even only one member wasn't there.

my rating: 10/10. nothing in it that i didn't like.

i'm gonna have to buy the 2 disc special edition right away!

well i guess we all have our opinions. i honestly think he's better than kevin conroy.

as for air time, i think batman had enough. you hardly get to see green arrow and aquaman, i'm glad batman got the screen time he got. you get to see him fighting bad guys, doing detective work, AND scolding robin in the nicest way possible he could (it wasn't all that nice). lol.

Batman voice is not that bad at all.
The Batman didnt get enough air time but his air time was the highlight of the movie to me. he somewhat played a big role......

Actually.. we don't need another Talkback.. this one is fine.

SPOILERS... DO NOT CONTINUE READING UNLESS YOU ARE NOT AFRAID OF A FEW MINOR SPOILERS!

The movie was good. But honestly. Not the best. Batman's voice was ok. To me it seemed like there wasn't any effort put into it. The plot also just didn't click with me. It was the same old plot used over and over again. Someone or something is trying to deystory Earth.

While the animation was alot better that Justice League, it still have that feel to it. And the part where John Jones is in his apartment watching TV, changing forms, now I uderstand that properly came from the comic, but it still had that been there seen that feeling. (the Batman)

This movie has been getting great reveiws, but I just can't give it a ten out of ten. I'd say 7, but is still a must have for any fan.

I feel the same way Chris. It had that old style feeling to it, and the plot with thew center was weak.
Good movie but not strong hitter like we were expecting.
I also give it a 7 out of 10.

It was supose to have the "old time" feeling, and I actually liked that. What I meant was that the voice for Batman just didn't fit, IMO. I wouldn not have wanted Conroy or Rino either, but someone with a little more depth to his voice.

i still think this is the best dtv DC has made so far...but at least we're getting somewhere. i'm assuming we'll get around 2 or 3 dtv's a year or so. new frontier definitely started this trend with a bang. well superman doomsday did, but it wasn't as well received as new frontier.

I saw it too, a month ago. It was a very good movie. Maybe even great. The thing is; there are those who did not read New Frontier, or understand why alot of people love it, that might be using that in their reviews to the DTV. Like BornAgainBatman said about the old feel, which makes no sense from his side because this movie takes place, and shows it, in the '50s, so you are suppose to get an old feel. But there are certain reviews that SHOULD BE IGNORED. For example; there is this one review that said "Superman's colors wrong. And John Stewart isn't in this, so we have this white guy named Hal Jordan as Green Lantern". See what I mean? Ignore them.

But at least there are alot of positive reviews out there, with some saying "great" to discribe this movie. That at least shows that this movie was done very well. BornAgainBatman, and Chris, I would say watch it again once or twice. That should balance it out, also with Sisto's Batman. BTW, I liked Sisto as Batman. He was dark, as what Batman is. This movie was very good/great. Even today, I have fun and dance around the scenes from the DTV. It was a very good/great movie, and that is not going to change.

I have seen it twice. I like it, but it's not the best. The animation is great. The colors are fine. But this was more like a Green Lantern movie then a Justice League. I have nothing again GL, I want to see both a live action and animated feature about him. But when it's a JUSTICE LEAGUE movie, they need to have the JL in it more.

But that aside, it still has that been there done that feel to it. Look at JL: Secert Origins. The show brought heroes together to fight somthing that was going to dystory Earth.

The Batman, The Joining.. heroes come together to.. well.. see where I'm going..

No matter how many times I watch a movie, I usally have the same feeling. This is a good movie. And I still rate it 7 out of 10. There are alot better story lines that they could have used.

No, New Frontier is considered a modern classic. Don't say they should've picked a better storyline, New Frontier was the BETTER storyline. That's why it was an award-winning series. And Hal was the main character, and the focus, in the comic version. The movie was a Justice League movie no matter how you look at it, because the story focuses on the 6 out of the 7 that make up the team. If they didn't cut anything out, and had higher running time, it probably would've stayed as DC: The New Frontier and focus on more than the JLA members, but basically the main focus would still be on Hal Jordan. Darwyn Cooke said Hal was the focus because he was a test pilot, and they were the heroes in the '50s. So that's one of the main reasons why he was focused.

I'm not going against you, or being negative. I'm just trying to explain what's going on here. Besides, what you said about the "been there, done that". Well, how would you have alot of super-powered characters come together? A big baddie that does it works. JLA: Year One, great story, and the JLA happens to fight a big alien baddie. See?

Justice League: The New Frontier is the same New Frontier as DC: The New Frontier. Other than just focusing on those who make up 6 out of 7 of the JLA, what I saw from the DTV is what I read from the comic.

Question: did you read the comic version of New Frontier?

I had no idea what to expect from this movie. When the credits started rolling, it finally hit me that there were a lot of great actors working on this project. I forgot the movie was given a PG-13 rating and when I saw the movie, I knew why. I thought it was pretty nuts with the amount of violence and blood.

The story was pretty strong in my opinion and very political which is great because at least it will appeal to adults more. I thought I wouldn't be a fan but taking place during the Cold War era made it much more interesting. You could tell there was a sense of nationalism in America at the time.

As for the acting, I really enjoyed Kyle McLaughlin's Superman. He sounded like a normal guy but you knew he couldn't be messed with. They picked the perfect Wonder Woman, Lucy Lawless. I was actually disappointed they chose Keri Russel after watching this movie. David Boreanaz was awesome as Hal Jordan, I hope he'll be back for more future projects. Neil Patrick Harris was pretty good but I think I like him as Spider-Man more.

Batman....ehh...I'll watch the movie again but there was something kind of off with Sisto's acting. Then again, maybe it wasn't the acting, he sounded old when this Batman was still relatively new. I think Rino Romano could've played this version. I give credit to Jeremy Sisto because he had big shoes to fill and he gave it a try.

i seem to be the only one that really liked jeremy sisto, haha. i think he's the best batman so far. everyone else seems to just be like "meh..w/e"

i really like the 50's dialect he has, and he has by far the deepest voice i've ever heard.

i also liked john jones/martian manhunter's voice. he had a very slight accent, maybe martian? haha. the accent is almost unnoticeable, but it is a little different.
