TVShowsOnDVD.com received an image of the DVD cover artwork for "Justice League: The New Frontier", which reveals that there will be 2 different versions - a single disc "standard" edition and a 2-disc "special" edition. And plus, rumored for a while now, it has been confirmed that the DTV will be released also on HD and Blu-Ray DVD.
On the SE DVD cover, based on Cooke's artwork (maybe he did it?), and it looks like we'll be getting Adam Strange and maybe its confirmed that the Suicide Squad will be in the movie too.
Synopsis:
The New Frontier takes viewers on an action-packed adventure, exploring the origins of the Justice League. DC Comics legends Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are all featured in the film as well as Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter and The Flash - as they band together to form the legendary super team. Strangers at first, these very different heroes must overcome fear and suspicion to forge an alliance against a monster so formidable, even the mighty Superman cannot stop it alone. If they fail, the entire planet will be "cleansed" of humanity.

OMG!!!!! THEY ARE USING JAPANESE ANIMATION FOR THE ANIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wasn't to excited about the JL, but now I can't wait for this to be released lol!
I might just check this out when it's released, it looks intriguing, even if the animation isn't exactly dynamic.

yeah, i see what you're saying.
and about the "renowned japanese animatiors"...that's kind of subjective. i mean a lot of TB, TT, and LoSH are animated in japan/korea. kind of hard to say that it will look like anime. it all depends on the direction; i really doubt the character designer will be a legit anime japanese artist.
Actually it probably will have Japanese art directors, but the American writers and American artists are probably working very closley with them. Judging from the frazing of the blurb, they're making it as anime as possible.
And tons of things have been designed for Americans with Japanese artists making it. I'd say it will be something like Animatrix, which by the way, was also a WB movie.
Anywho, we should go back on subject.

There's one thing I trying to figure out about the JL: TNF DVD cover.
Capt. Marvel is on there with the rest of the DC Comics Superheroes.
But he was not re-introduced till 1973
And this takes place in 1960.
That I do not understand.
I have read DC: The New Frontier (which IS a great read BTW and you should get it), the cover to the standard DVD is actually a splash page from the comic itself. And in that splash page has Captain Marvel among the rest of the DC heroes. So its just a page from the book that they used for that cover. I heard at one point that its not finalized, but don't take that to heart.
Hope that answers that.

Also, Bruce Timm is NOT the director of JL: TNF, it's Stan Berkowitz. I guess that explain Hal Jordan is in the film, because if Timm were directing this, he would replace Hal with Stewart.

No, Hal is in this ebcause DC: The New Frontie rhas him in it. Since this is the original big seven from the Silver Age, Hal would have to be in it anyway. Plus, Timm has said that ina Green Lantern DTV, he wants Hal because they had used John and Kyle already.
Just correcting what u said.

I've gotten several emails regarding a reference in the new issue of Wizard Magazine regarding the release date of "Justice League: The New Frontier" -- the date reported in Wizard is incorrect.
The confirmed street date, as you were notified in an emailed release a few weeks ago, is Tuesday, February 26, 2008.
As an early Christmas gift, you'll find a few new images from "Justice
League: The New Frontier" attached to this email -- including images of Flash, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Martian Manhunter standing over King
Faraday.
Happy Holidays!
