So...would I be correct in thinking that you've heard a clip of him recording?

You know, WB was good in hiding Conroy voicing Batman. We've already seen clips of the animation which means that he did the voice a while ago. He was only announced in the past couple of weeks.

In America they do the voice then animate it so the video syncs to it, in Japan, they do the animation then the voice actors dub it. Just because the animation is complete doesn't really mean he's done anything.

And I think Chris is saying that Conroy is 50 year old voice actor, by his age you've got a lot of depth and gravel that's hard to get rid of in a performance. He might be able to do it, but he's not going to impress upon us that he's young. I think that's

This is not somthing I'm really trying to promote until closer time, but I have seen the screener, and will try to do a spoiler free review in the next few weeks.

I don't think age would radically change someone's voice range. 50 is not old. There are even older actors than Conroy that still sound young. Michael Bell was born in 1938 yet he still has the ability to play a wide range of roles.

Kevin Conroy has to drastically change his voice to get the Batman one. He isn't naturally gravely.

Maybe the animation process was still dubbing before seeing any footage so he naturally did what he always did. Without seeing any footage, he probably didn't know how different each Batman segment looked.

This is just what I think may have happened and why his voice didn't seem to fit with that particular short.

And sorry, Chris for saying something. I'd like to think its detective skills.

Well, the age isn't my concern, it's just that spending so much time putting stress on your voice to make it gravely does damage... Steven Blum for example, his stuff from the 90s was so much cleaner than what he does now because all the years "miss-using his voice" (I believe those were the words he used) has caused damage.

As for Chris seening the screener. Lucky man.

You guys are fine.. you didn't know I had seen it.. I only said something because we were all wondering if he was to voice all 6 Batman or not.

Just wanted to confirm that he did.

As for his age, His voice matches 5 of the 6. But what I have seen is a early screener, so who knows if they will redub it.

When I first heard about this project, I was very excited. Its taking my favorite superhero and animated him in the Japanese style. I'd seen pictures and watched the behind the scenes interview but nothing compares to the one undeniable fact: the return of Kevin Conroy. This is a dream come true.

When I heard Conroy's voice in the beginning, it was a lot less gravely than I thought, which is great. To me, it sounds like he'll fit into that Batman we've been iffy about. And remember when I said, I was a little doubtful about that particular Batman? Yeah, that feeling went away after seeing it animated.

I haven't read the reviews from here or World's Finest Online, I want to watch this without any prior knowledge of the story or people's opinion.

Why...oh why...is July 8th so far away! LOL

My review isn't near as good as WF, and it's incomplete. LOL. But I have to say the movie is better than I thought. Overall it's great. I thknk you all will agree it's the best Animated feature.

According to the article Chris linked:
"Burnett, Azzarello and Josh Olson, along with producer Bruce Timm, have already confirmed their participation on the panel following the world premiere of “Batman Gotham Knight” at Wizard World Chicago in late June. “Batman Gotham Knight” will arrive July 8, 2008 on DVD and Blu-Ray disc, and will also be available that day On Demand via digital cable and for download through broadband sites. The film is produced as a collaboration between DC Comics, Warner Premiere, Warner Home Video and Warner Bros. Animation."

So, that would be July 8, 2008.

2 more months to wait . . .

[B]ecause television standards do not allow the use of “real” bullets in children’s programming, Deadshot has been kept out of Batman’s animated legacy.

Wait, wasn't Deadshot hired to kill Aquaman in Justice League?

Also, I love how "Deadshot"'s Bruce looks like Christian Bale.

there's a new picture of bruce holding a gun at someone...don't wanna post it cuz i'm scared to, lol. but he does look like bale in there. my question is...why is holding a gun? lol. i heard the central theme of these short segments were about batman's hatred of guns and how they're weapons to play the rold of God..or something like that.

i think the "in darkness dwells" batman looks most like the batman begins batman.

man, i'm really looking forward to this. "working through pain" sounds really interesting. check out worldsfinestonline's review for spoiler-ish news.

Check the latest photos on the side bar, Chris posted that shot last night.

As for the gun, I'm sure it'll play out well in the movie
