I put this post in here, I guess because the DCU Animated movies are what I'm most excited about. Feel free to move it if need be.
A Superman/Batman: Public Enemies movie sounds very cool. But the art for that series was already pretty cartoony, I'd like to see a more "artsy" book turned into a movie I guess.
I sure hope the new Batman DTV will be The Long Halloween, I already said something about that, but it's my favorite Bat-book and I think it'd be awesome in animation. They already stated it's a strong possibility in the past. |

I'm excited about the Green Lantern mention there. I'd imagine over the next few years some of the more ignored DC and Marvel characters are going to get more exposure, and I want me some GL!
Not in that way though, gross!! |

Didn't you see Doomsday's art? It's based off of a gritty 90s comic book, and yet it's art direction is a step below JLU in realism...
It looks to me like they're going to keep the 2 dimensional cartoon look for quite some time...

Exactly, and outside of Batman: Gotham Knight, we haven't really gotten the kind of look I want. So, if they make Batman/Superman: PE look like the comic did, then we'll still be getting a cartoony look.
And I agree, the art in Superman: Doomsday was lousy. I really don't like the Timm style art all together. |

how about a dark knight returns animated, I know they did it in the animated series so they could keep that style and just make it longer. It is not a long book so maybe they can keep all of the story in it. |

I say they should adapt All-Star Batman & Robin. How much fun would you have watching that? Imagine how absolutely psycho Batman would be. It'd be great!

Hush would be awesome. Imagine a Jim Lee style Batman beating up the Joker and what not.
But I have to disagree with the All Star Batman and Robin statement, the only thing that would intrigue me about that would be if they stayed true to the look of the comic, therefore, Jim Lee's art. But that's just me. |

I'd rather something else be done. All Star Batman & Robin is a spoof of Batman; and at this point we need a serious depicition of classic story, not an animated equivilent of Batman & Robin.

Okay, on a more serious note, I would like to see Hush or The Long Halloween adapted.
For me personally, I'm a fan of crossovers when Batman meets a character not within the DC Universe. With that said, I'd like to see these animated.
Batman vs. Predator
The Justice League vs. Aliens (I know Batman, Superman, and the Green Lantern Corp all have dealt with them)
Batman & Spider-Man: Disordered Minds
Batman vs. Spawn
I know these won't be made but it would be interesting.
The only thing stopping you from success is doubt. |

I'd like to see Knight Fall, Knight's End and Knight's Quest combined to one big epic.
Batman being worn down by all the criminals that Bane let loose, then Bane breaking Batman's back. Only to see Azrael become Batman and go mad with it and see Bruce return for one of the best fights ever as reclaimed the mantle of the bat.
No Mans Land would make a good epic too.

The thing about Knightfall, how so they introduce Azrael? The character was never introduced to the mainstream, and he even doesn't seem to exist in comic continuity anymore.
I say Long Halloween is the best choice; it's one of the best selling and most critically successful Batman stories of all time. Plus after TDK was so successful they'll probably want to get more publicity to the story that inspired it.

That would be cool, but I willingto bet they'd try to do what they did with the death of Superman, which shorten it to an hour by taking key story points out. |
