"Brawn"
::bbbruce:: - The Joker gets a hold of Bane Venom and "Hulks" around Gotham. There was some speculation as to whether Toymaker episode would air today...it was "Brawn".
_______________
"Brawn" wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Batgirl really irritated me in her misguided attempts to use the Batbot when Batman could'nt get to it. However, Joker did have some good dialogue which saved the episode. Ohters will probably disagree, but Batman appears to be wimpy and weakened when Batgirl appears in an episode.
::bbbruce:: - meh.
rate episode 6.5/10

Not a bad ep. For once I was glad to see Batgirl, only because if she wasn't there, it would have been Batbot against Joker and it would have pretty much been a Bat Vs. Bane reply.
It was pretty predicalbe though when she put jumped into the Bat-Bot.
On a side note. my 7 year old hates the theme and wants the old one back..LOL

::bbbruce:: - Your 7 year old is wise indeed....I want the old theme back as well. I don't care for the Hawaii 5-0/60's Batman version of the theme song.
:uhoh: - yuck.

REVIEW:
Before this episode, we had a confusion of which episode would air: Brawn or Cash for Toys. As of now, Brawn was gonna air anyway and Cash for Toys is probably next.
Back to the episode.
The idea of Joker using Bane's venom is original. But there was no point of him to be that to begin with. No motive either (yet, when did he had one? lol). I guess the point from his point of view was wanting to be bigger, and fun. I guess that's it.
Batgirl on the other hand was the focus on this episode. It can be argued that it ain't but it is. She is the star of Brawn. Her against a Bane Joker was more in line for the girl audience. That's no problem at all. Since she's young, not that tall and still fast, she was kinda the perfect one to handle the Bane Joker. It took a while and Batman could only defeat Joker in this episode at his normal size.
Now, what will trouble fans was the fact that Bane wasn't in it. He was mentioned, but that was that. At least he was back in some way. I guess the only other thing was the return of the Batbot after........a while. Batgirl using it was another reason why I said it was focused more on her.
With all that, sound and such was still on the good side of things. Now overall: this episode wasn't that big of a deal. However, I can still consider it wacthable if you like Batgirl.
RATING: 6.5/10

after finally being able to watch most of the Batman episodes in reruns, i can say that im about 50/50 on them. some i like, some i hate.
on Brawn, i hated it. i didnt see no motive to Joker taking Banes equipment to bulk up, other than just to maybe have fun wreaking havok. to me, this was a weak plot to build an episode around. i also dont like how Batman can not take on a venomed opponet without relying on the Batbot. he was too quick to call for it. also i thought that a conveyer belt thru the city do deliver the suit was a little rediculous. just like the Forever body tube that delivered Bruce from Wayne Enterprises to the cave. completely unbelievable. but this also showed me yet again how this show is so influenced by the campy versions of Batman. i also agree that Batgirl seemed to be the main focus, which is fine, but Batman just seemed like such the sidekick in this one. i have a real problem with this incarnation of Batgirl. she is not trained or disiplined at all. shes reckless and a loose cannon of sorts. there is no way Bruce would allow her to operate. there seems to be such a risk of her getting killed. and i cant believe that Bruce would allow that to even become a possibility.
i have to give this episode a 4/10.

it was an ok episode. but i liked traction better. i love the bat bot! they shud use it more; which means more bane episodes!!! i thought brawn was gnna be about bane, but it was about joker.
and for the themes; i wish they made a new one. the first theme was the best, but it was too calm n it didnt match the video sequence. the new one matches the video sequence, but its just too happy and TT-like. i wish they did a theme song with a distorted electric guitar.

traction was a lot better but this wasnt as bad. and i didnt think it was taht predictable. when batgirl put on the batsuit i thought she was gonna be beat joker but it turns out he just beat her up.
if batgirl wasnt in this episode, then it really wouldve sucked!

On a side note: "The Laughing Cats" will be on this week (11-19). Then its "Cash for Toys", and "Clayfeet" but take that with a grain of salt.

I hope it's Clayface, he rocks. I still find it very sad Ethan had to become him though, such a nice man.

brawn....what can i say? just like joker, this episode lacks brain. Lets start from the beginning...joker using venom? thats a silly concept. Then there is Jokers look through out this horrible episode... he has a purple rag with poke a dots on...and samurai style hair...that just looks plain stupid. and his extremely dumb and cliche look when he is on venom(HUUUGE upper body, tiiiiiny lower body) lowers this episode down just that much more. Then there is the undying question....since when did this show become "The Batgirl"!!?? this episode had about 5 minutes of actual batman footage! and what can I say about how he got the Bat-bot?.....conveniant. VERY conveniant. Sooooo you are trying to tell me he got a conveyor belt through the bat cave alllll the way to a brick wall in his EXACT location? if it had appeared two blocks away from him or so it MIGHT have been a little bit less silly. Something id like to point out is that this joker is reeeeally screwing up the joker. in btas he was evil, but the way he acted and made jokes maed you love the guy and love ANY episode with him in it. This joker is stupid, looks stupid, sounds like he has a sore throat, somehow manages to fight like blanca from street fighter(dont like act like you didnt know guys!!! falling in a vat of chemicals grants you extreme martial arts abilities! duh! ead: ead: ead and manages to make me HATE almost every episode he is in. TB is reeeeally ruining some of batmans finest villains as you can see through this lousy excuse for an episode 5.0/10

joker is a clown ninja. lol. i think its cool that the bad guys know how to fight, but it doesnt make sense...batman had years of training and yet the bad guys can almost beat batman up. pretty crazy stuff; does that mean they had years of training?

::bbbruce:: - They sorta explained Penguin's fighting prowess (which I don't buy), but Joker is ridiculous...he shouldn't be able to fight like that. He reminds me of The Beast from Marvel's X-Men.
Firefly however, cannot fight (hand to hand)...as was shown in an episode, neither can Gearhead. Croc I understand why he can fight and Freeze doesn't really fight...Clayface fights but with morphing tricks, plus he must've had some police training in fighting techniques.
