BATMAN
Batman/Bruce Wayne is played by Adam West.

Bruce Wayne decided at an early age that the only way to fight crime, was by becoming Batman. Now, along with his trusty sidekick, Robin, he does just that. Now the entire world is at stake, and the Dynamic Duo must race against time to stop the United Underworld from taking over the world. Plus, can a new love in Bruce's life really be what it seems? All will be told as the secerts come about.

Producer William Dozier cast West as Batman and his alter ego, Bruce Wayne (in part, after seeing West perform as the James Bond-like spy Captain Q in a Nestlé Quik television ad), in Batman, the hit television series. West beat out Lyle Waggoner for the Batman role.

West was at one point offered the role of James Bond by Cubby Broccoli in 1970 for the film Diamonds Are Forever. West declined, later stating in his autobiography that he believed the role should always be played by someone British, referencing Australian George Lazenby's unpopular time in the role.

West enjoys the status of being almost a majority of the three big B's of the 1960s: Bond, Batman, and The Beatles. The popular, campy show ran on ABC from 1966 to 1968; a film version was released in 1966.

ROBIN
Robin/Dick Grayson is played by Burt Ward.

When Dick Grayson became Bruce Wayne's Ward, he never dreamed that one day he would be fighting the scum of Gotham. Now along side Batman, Robin must help to save the world. HOLY WHAT?!? Robin uses his brain to solve the riddles that are left for the duo. He must also decided if it's right or wrong to spy on Bruce. Everything is at stake and time is running out.

At the age of 19, he decided to audition for the part of Robin, without having ever read a Batman comic book. Upon meeting with executive producer William Dozier for the role, Dozier was impressed, saying "Robin just walked into my office."Ward and Adam West were up against Lyle Waggoner and Peter Deyell for the roles of Batman and Robin. During this time, the show was being planned as a campy style action-adventure show, and their screen tests consisted of staged fight scenes and, at one point, Ward chopping a set of boards with his hand. Eventually, he was selected for the role of Robin at age twenty, stepping onto the screen in 1966 with the debut of Batman.Burt Ward (a.k.a. Bert John Gervis, Jr.) decided upon his professional surname by using his mother's maiden name. He substituted the "e" with the "u" in his first name to add more of a "punch." Ward's reasoning behind the name change was that he was afraid that people would have a hard time pronouncing "Gervis" (which is pronounced with a soft-"G"). Unlike his series' lead, Adam West, Ward was required to do some dangerous stunt work, because his costume revealed more of his face than a stuntman could compensate for. According to a 2000 A&E Biography interview of his series' star, both Ward & West often feuded together, because of the costumes they were told to wear, and tempers flared off the set, though they are still good friends, after Batman's run.

At the height of Batman's popularity, Ward recorded a series of tracks under the production of Frank Zappa. The first two, "Boy Wonder, I Love You" (which Zappa wrote) and "Orange Colored Sky," were released as a single on November 14, 1966. Two other tracks from these sessions, "Teenage Bill of Rights" and "Autumn Love", remained unreleased.During the first months of shooting, Ward was paid $350 per week.By the series' end, he was earning up to $600 a week. According to Ward in an interview, he stated that the series only lasted three seasons, for a total of 120 episodes, due to the high cost of production. The show was still high in the ratings, but ABC was losing thousands of dollars on filming (this can be seen in the decline of the sets and constant re-use of stock footage). Later, NBC offered to pick it up for a fourth season, but the offer was withdrawn upon realization that the sets had been bulldozed.

THE JOKER
Joker is played by Ceaser Romero.

The Clown Prince of Crime will stop at nothing to get his punchline in where it's not wanted. As second in command of the United Underworld, The Joker is the most dangerous of foes. But can this green haired villian get away with his dasterly plot? Or will he, and his co-horts be brought down?

In 1966, Romero again achieved icon status when he played The Joker in ABC's television series, Batman. He refused to shave his trademark mustache and so it was covered with white makeup when playing the supervillain throughout the series' run, and in the spinoff 1966 film.

CATWOMAN
Catwoman is played by Lee Merriweather.

The United Underworld would not be anything without the feline fene around. Catwoman plays a douple role, acting as a Russian reporter, Miss Kitka. As Kitka, she must charm Bruce Wayne and lure him into a trape, that if worked right, would kill both Bruce and Batman. As Catwoman, her task is simply to Kill Batman. But what will unfold? Will her true slef be discovered?

Meriwether portrayed Catwoman for the 1966 Batman movie and co-starred as scientist Dr. Ann MacGregor in the 1966–1967 television series The Time Tunnel. She appeared in the Star Trek episode "That Which Survives". In films, she joined John Wayne and Rock Hudson for The Undefeated, and Andy Griffith in Angel in My Pocket in 1969. In the same year, she played IMF spy Tracy Fielding in six Mission: Impossible episodes, after Barbara Bain's departure.

THE RIDDLER
The Riddler is played by Frank Gorshen.

The Riddle is a mastermind that loves to leave riddles for the dynamic duo to find. Although they always find him, and discover his plan. But do the crimefighters have what it takes to outwit him this time?

In 1966, he took on the role of the Riddler, for which he received an Emmy nomination. In 1968 he filmed his other Emmy-nominated role: in an episode of Star Trek. He continued to make films, and perform his nightclub act, with occasional breaks in the early 1970s to appear in Broadway shows.

THE PENGUIN
The Penguin is played by Burgess Merideth.

The Penguin is the leader of the fearsome foursome. As the leader, Mr. P. E. Quin has to organize what is to be the greatest crime of all time. However, the dynamic duo may have something to say about it. Can this dirty bird waddle his way out of trouble? Or will his feathers be plucked?

Meredith achieved iconic status for playing The Penguin in the television series Batman. Before he originated the role of Mickey Goldmill in the original Rocky, the first of the three Rocky films in which he appeared, this was the character as whom he was best known. Indeed, Meredith was so popular in the role that the series producers made sure to have a Penguin episode screenplay ready for whenever the actor was available.
