It's been twenty years since Kenner/Tonka's Dark Knight Collection hit toy shelves. Although preceded by a Toy Biz Batman line, the memorable DKC upped quality and paved the way for numerous Batman action figure standards including variant figures and a Batcave design that would be implemented for over a decade. The likenesses of Michael Keaton & Jack Nicholson shined through bold, dark figures with intricate accessories and impressive vehicles. TDKC kicked off the longest and most well known tenure of Batman figure history, the Kennera/Hasbro era, which would see the production of over 200 figures.But TDKC wasn’t limited to figures; it also included roleplaying toys and Tonka vehicle sets.
