Although the two did cross paths in the main Batman title, one fan by the name of Randy Saitta clearly always wished there had been more.Renowned Batman mega-fan Chris Sims highlights Saitta's quest to recreate a 'What Could Have Been' title he calls "The Shadow and the Knight" commissioning cover works from big name comic artists of the time for his imaginary book. Some of these covers are downright amazing looking and you can't help but marvel at their Bronze-age coolness. Complete with an authentic 1973 DC Comics logo and Comics Code stamp, these covers certainly go above and beyond your traditional headshot commission.
