Extended News Our top story yesterday was the announcement of a new Batman Beyond Miniseries hitting stands this June. Today new details emerged on the project thanks to an interview the series' writer Adam Beechen did with the hard hitting journalists of Newsarama. - The series will not be in any way related to the earlier Superman/Batman appearance of Terry, nor the upcoming Paul Levitz Superman/Batman annual. Though Beechen made sure to note that there's plenty of room for both. - "According to Beechen, the key to the series is the two-word title of the story arc, which will be revealed to readers at the end of the first issue." - This is the same character and world from the animated show. Beechen notes, "Our story takes place after the animated series ends, so Terry's pretty experienced as Batman. But, as we'll see, he still has a lot to learn." - Expect a mixture of old characters from the show with characters never seen before as the series references specific key moments in DC's past continuity. - On the rogues appearing in the series Beechen said, "Suffice to say we’ll see representatives from the A list all the way down to the D list. " - Terry and Dana are not married during this series, which takes place closer to the end of the animated series than to the character’s appearance at the end of "Justice League Unlimited."
