Another round of justice has been served. Watch them battle villains and fight crime in a 2-disc 14 episode collection! Back for another round, Robin, Superboy, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Miss Martian and Artemis join forces to take down some of the universe’s most dangerous foes. From India to Cadmus Labs, these super-powered sidekicks must think fast and use teamwork in their never-ending fight against The Light. Join the team as they battle the likes of the ruthless assassin Cheshire, the Lord of Chaos Klarion, the brutally powerful Sportsmaster and the deceptive Parasite. In battles that test their loyalties and reveal hidden secrets, Young Justice must use their incredible crime-fighting powers to come together and defeat their toughest enemies yet!
Disc 1 contains the episodes “Alpha Male”, “Revelation”, “Humanity”, “Failsafe”, “Disordered”, “Secrets”, and “Misplaced”, while Disc 2 contains “Coldhearted”, “Image”, “Agendas”, “Insecurity”, “Performance”, “Usual Suspects”, and “Auld Acquaintence”.
Other highlights on Disc 1 include the alien invasion episode “Fail Safe”, the Superboy-centric “Disordered” (which features the New Gods), and the Halloween-themed “Secrets”. Disc 2 highlights include “Agendas”, which finds Superboy back at Project Cadmus (and going up against a certain bald guy in a suit), Sportsmaster returns in “Insecurity”, and “Performance”, which has the team going under cover at a circus as … The Daring Dangers! Of course, it all leads into the season 1 finale, “Auld Acquaintance”, which wraps up the entire Season 1 “secret society” storyline and has the team going in search of their old buddy Red Arrow while trying to survive the combined might of a compromised Justice League. There are only three things that could make this a better release. 1) The Complete Season. 2) Features. 3) Blu-Ray?. However, since those are not an option right now, we must settle for what we get. Overall though, I would highly recommend this set to anyone who enjoys the show.

Anyone who saw Thursday night's Community on NBC was treated to a great episode heavily based around The Dark Knight. After Abed purchases a special edition $299 DVD set of the film, it becomes allegedly stolen from the apartment, forcing him to take matters into his own hands by childishly dressing in a Batman Begins Halloween costume and investigating in character. The episode, entitled "Foosball and Nocturnal Vigilantism," can be watched on Hulu HERE Discuss "Foosball and Nocturnal Vigilantism" on our forum HERE |

DC launches Batman Beyond and Justice League Beyond digital series. Beginning in February 2012, DC Comics will be launching BATMAN BEYOND UNLIMITED, a monthly print periodical which will collect chapters from various digital-first series. Releasing weekly, JUSTICE LEAGUE BEYOND and BATMAN BEYOND will come out as individual chapters prior to (and in conjunction with) the collected, 48-page monthly BATMAN BEYOND UNLIMITED print edition. JUSTICE LEAGUE BEYOND is from the creative team of Dustin Nguyen and Derek Fridolfs, adding Batman (Terry McGinnis) to the team of superheroes to combat a Neo Goath-related enemy. And in BATMAN BEYOND, from Adam Beecham and Norm Breyfogle, McGinnis? and Bruce Wayne face an onslaught of Jokerz – and the return of an old foe. DC Entertainment has previously released digital-first series including BEYOND THE FRINGE, as well as the limited run of BATMAN: ARKHAM UNLEASHED and BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY, which was recently collected in a hardcover release last month. BATMAN BEYOND UNLIMITED marks the first time that DC Entertainment is launching an ongoing series digitally ahead of its planned monthly print release. |

Batman wings into an exciting new era, teaming with a mighty honor roll of DC Comics Super Heroes in this action-packed series. Through the show’s season two 12 Animated Adventures in this 2-Disc Collection, the Dark Knight allies with Aquaman, Plastic Man, Blue Beetle, Red Tornado, Green Arrow, Wildcat, Deadman, Bronze Tiger and Atom to take on an array of evildoers ranging from mad scientists to intergalactic crooks, from power-mad dictators to out-of-control teenagers. Batman: The Brave & The Bold is a better animated series than some might want to admit. Yes it is a campy Batman, but it’s a serious take on campiness. While you have some episodes like Aquaman’s Outrages adventure! Which is not all that serious, and then you also have episodes like Sidekicks Assemble! The Goldenage of Justice! And The Chill of the Night! That proves just how serious and in some cases dark, that this series can be. The series does an awesome job of combining Modern Age comics to Silver and Golden age. From modern day Huntress, to Silverage Green Arrow. Even using Earth-2 Robin’s outfit before Dick becomes Nightwing. The three merge together perfectly and proves that everything can co-exist without trying to re-luanch anything to get people interested. All in all this season improves greatly over the first and it only gets better. It’s a great family show that Batman fans of all ages can enjoy.

All Star Superman Review by: Spencer Grant Morrison & Frank Quietly's acclaimed All-Star? Superman has become the most recent entry in DC's series of animated movies. I got a chance to watch the premiere screening at the Paley Center for Media in New York, which included a roundtable interview with voice director Andrea Romano, writer Dwayne McDuffie?, and voice actor Christina Hendricks (Lois Lane). For those familiar with the comic, it follows the general story but makes a few omissions for the sake of time constraints. For those who haven't read the story yet: SPOILERS AHEAD. |
