The man known only as Braun is a master martial artist and metahuman psychic who is considered Lady shiva's equal or perhaps superior in skill.

Little is known of his past except he joined forces with Lady Shiva at one point and did battle with the Birds of Prey. During this time he fougt shiva to a standstill, defeated Black Canary and generally caused pure mayhem. 

Braun is a meta-human who abilities are psych based in nature. He has a high level of telepathy allowing him to read an opponents mind. 

In addition to this he is a highly trained martial arts master. using his two skills together makes him a significant threat as he can read his opponents moves before they make it some even say he may be clairvoyant, but this was never proven.
