Tot and Montoya spend their days together, despite not liking each other particularly much. A string of murders leads Renée to Hub-City (home of the previous Question, Vic Sage) where she meets Vic's old allies and finds herself learning the lesson of "murder" while trying to solve the case of a serial-killer police man.
Renée chases the serial killer toward a roof he couldn't jump to. She tries to warn the killer but they end up dying in the end. Having completed her final lesson, Renée is drawn into a game orchestrated by Flay in which Flay threatens to kill anyone/everyone close to Renée if she doesn't meet him at some longitude/latitude coordinates he leaves for her to find.
