PLOT: Superman Prime, dressed in a black version of the Superman costume, has found out the multiverse exists again and is looking for the perfect Earth. He travels to Earth-15 but finds its not perfect. He kills the Superman of that Earth, who is Zod, his wife and Lex Luthor. He then kills the JLA members, thinking of them as pretenders. He finally destroys the entire Earth and vows to continue looking for his Earth, the perfect Earth, destroying any he finds that aren't to his liking. Desaad has taken possession of Firestorm and is trying to kill Karate Kid. He is stopped by the Atomic Knights who use a device to separate him from the Firestorm matrix. Desaad escapes in a boom tube. Darkseid is watching all this with Mary Marvel and Eclipso. Darkseid wants Mary to join him so he can use her magical powers. She refuses and turns her powers on him. Desaad returning to Darkseid's side in the boom tube allows Mary to escape. Eclipso goes after her. NOTE: Special end of issue story entitled, "The Origin of Desaad"
