PLOT: Firestorm has helped Karate Kid uncover a bunker beneath Bludhaven. Before they can enter it they are stopped by the Atomic Knights. The two groups battle until Firestorm stops the Knights by turning their air supplies to ether. Inside the bunker they find Professor Martin Stein, formerly one half of Firestorm, being tortured by Desaad. When Firestorm uses his powers, Desaad is able to enter the Firestorm matrix through Stein and become Firestorm. Deadshot is trailing Trickster and Piper in a helicopter. He stops their car but the two manage to escape Deadshot. Jimmy Olsen is being led through Apokolips with other prisoners. He is about to be killed by a guard for not paying attention when the guard is killed by Darkseid's omega beams. This marks Jimmy as worthy of notice. Darkseid is presented with Mary Marvel by Eclipso as a person new to the darkness. NOTE: Special end of issue story entitled, "The Origin of Killer Frost"
