PLOT:
Mary Marvel is confronted by Black Adam at the Kahndaq consulate in Gotham City. She believes it was no accident she ended up there and maybe Black Adam could help her regain her powers as he has. He tells her asking for her powers back is asking for death.

Jimmy Olsen is back in Metropolis when a large noise and screaming is heard outside accompanied by lights shooting out of the sky. He calls Superman using his watch and heads outside to take pictures. When he sees some people about to be hit by falling debris he uses super-speed to get them to safety. There is another explosion and the New God, Lightray, crashes to the Earth, looking near death. Superman arrives and takes to the sky to see what caused this. While he is gone, Lightray explodes catching Jimmy in the blast. Superman is pursuing someone but they escape by way of a boom tube. Superman returns to Earth to find Lightray dead but Jimmy unharmed.

The Titans pay their respects at the burial site of Duela Dent. Donna Troy stays behind when the others leave and Jason Todd shows up. He wants to talk to Donna because the Monitor that killed Duela said she and Jason weren't supposed to exist. He wonders if Donna is in the same situation.

Karate Kid is still being held in JLA headquarters. Starman, who is schizophrenic, makes mention that a female Doctor Impossible is responsible for their problems.
