PLOT:
Held captive in the Sorcerer's World by the Mordru, the evil wizard who first granted her her powers - Mysa (White Witch) begins receiving visions of the future from her sister, Dream Girl. In them she watches in horror as the tumultuous future lying ahead begins to unfold. While her visions are cut short by the evil Time-Trapper her prison walls are suddenly demolished. Her love, Blok has come with fellow Legionnaires Wildfire, Dawnstar and Green Lantern Rond Vidar.

As they attempt to escape the Sorcerer's World they are confronted by Mordru who demands that White Witch be given back to him. Naturally the Legion refuses and a battle breaks out. Things are complicated further by the arrival of none other than Superboy-Prime and the Legion of Super-Villains fresh off of their escape from and destruction of Takron-Galtos. In the midst of all of this chaos, Super-Boy Prime offers Mordru a Legion of Super-Villains flight ring with the Superboy 'S' carved into the face of the ring with his heat vision. Mordru accepts.

Rond Vidar, the last Green Lantern in all of the galaxy, valiantly steps up to defend his friends from the ne'er do-wells surrounding them, casting a green force field around them while White Witch tries to summon enough surrounding energy to teleport them back home. While Mysa is eventually able to open the gateway, Superboy and his cohorts are beginning to crash through the green barrier so Rond sacrifices himself by pushing the others through the portal while staying behind to fend off the Legion of Super-Villains by himself.

When they arrive back at the Legion headquarters, the other Legionnaires are still debating with Superman over his decision to attempt to reform Superboy-Prime. The debate is cut short as they quickly rally together to attempt to save Rond from the Legion back in the Sorcerer's Realm. However a small temporary window back to the Realm reveals that their efforts are too late - Rond Vidar is killed by Superboy Prime. His ring flies off back to the Power Battery to sit atop the mountains of unclaimed power rings left behind by the now fully defeated Green Lantern Corps.

Shocked by their friend's death, the Legion is quickly called together by Braniac-5 who already has a plan of action. Knowing that the Legion of Super-Villains will soon be heading to confront them Braniac sends Superman along with some other Legionnaires to head them off. Meanwhile, Polar Boy, Wildfire and Dawnstar head to the Time Institute for a trip back to the 20th Century. Braniac-5 takes Phantom Girl and the recovering White Witch to Happy Harbor to sift through the old JLA items left behind. Although terribly disorganized, the Happy Harbor meeting place eventually yields what Braniac is looking for - the original sphere that the League had used to originally contact Earth-2. The sphere, made up of the crystallized nexus of all Earths can be used as a catalyst in White Witch's hands to hopefully contact Legions from other parallel Earths.

The final group of Legionnaires that Braniac had sent off, Mon-El and Shadow Lass rush to recover Rond Vidar's corpse. Once retrieving the body from the Sorcerer's Realm, they take it to Oa where they bare witness to the aforementioned mountains of de-powered rings sitting vacant on the forgotten planet. But as they approach the Power-Battery with Rond's body, a voice calls to them from the darkness. It appears as though Rond Vidar was not the last guardian of the galaxy as Sodam Yat steps out of the shadows to greet them.

Back on Earth, Braniac's séance appears to be working as the genius begins to make contact with the other Legions - one from another world, one lost. Suddenly a loud explosion fills the room and when the dust clears Braniac looks around to find that the Legions from the other 2 Worlds are suddenly standing before them. The sphere destroyed, Braniac will be unable to return either of the Legions to their original homes.
