PLOT:
Soon after Powergirl regained some of her Earth-2 memories she watched the only other survivors from that Earth die. Since Infinite Crisis, Supergirl has long since yearned to return to her home and the friends and family she remembers there. This had always seemed impossible until Gog appeared.

Displaced by Gog, Power Girl seemingly finds herself back home on Earth-2. Thinking all this time that Earth-2 had been lost to her she finds that her friends and family had believed just the opposite. After the crisis (presumably the original Crisis on Infinite Earths) Powergirl disappeared along with Superman and Lois Lane. Powergirl breaks the news that Superman and Lois died in Infinite Crisis but she also finds that contrary to what she believed, not every Golden Age hero had come from this Earth. For instance, Jay Garrick and Alan Scott are very much alive, albeit retired, on this new Earth-2. Although her memories of Earth-2 are fuzzy at best, Powergirl attempts to catch up with her old friends and family.

Powergirl attempts to rekindle her relationship with her old best friend, Huntress (Helena Wayne). Following her father's death, the criminals have been getting more and more twisted and vile in an attempt to gain recognition. Helena has just watched the man who was supposed to one day be her husband get doused in acid by the Joker (now wheelchair bound and riddled with emphasyma which keeps his laughter to a minimum).

Karen stops Helena from killing the Joker but finds out that Helena was never going to marry the man who is now lying in a hospital bed. All this time she has been in love with Dick Grayson but unable to express it!

Before the two can catch up any further they are interrupted by a slightly older looking version of Powergirl who claims to actually be this Earth's Power Girl. Things are complicated further when Karen's memory is unable to recall a vital memory from the Crisis - something this older Power Girl is capable of remembering.

Earth-2 Powergirl claims that Karen is a fraud and most likely the reason why Earth-2 Clark and Lois are dead/missing. Karen is able to temporarily escape but Earth-2 Powergirl retreats to the Justice Society headquarters and alerts the gang that an 'imposter' is on the loose!

Running for her life, Karen Starr realizes that this Earth-2 is not her Earth-2 and wonders just where Gog really has sent her.
